Wiggle 0 Posted January 6, 2008 Unsure as to whether anyone posted about this on here already but what the heck. Just want to congratulate Luton Town on how amazing they played today against Liverpool. They fought right to the death and played some very neat football. Im thinking maybe , as they need the moneyand we need the players, we could go in for one or two players in the likes of Currie or coyne? Those two especially impressed me today.Lets hope a buyer comes in for them pretty sharpish and they can spank liverpool when they head up there.Well Done.Wiggle. BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted January 7, 2008 Agreed Wiggle. Two thumbs up.Luton striker Drew Talbot put in one helluva shift, I thought. Impressive. Also liked the spirit of the Luton crowd singing after the match ''Que sera sera''.I wish them luck - despite 1959!!OTBC
Old Boy 0 Posted January 7, 2008 I was more impressed with Stoke, but well done Luton, and I hope they don''t go under. But I too remember 1959...

But I too remember 1959...[/quote]More impressed with Stoke?Luton, a side who haven''t been paid for the past month, near the bottom of League One, not just drew with, but outplayed a very strong Liverpool side. Well done to them, let''s hope someone buys them by 5pm.
we8wba 0 Posted January 7, 2008 quite agreed, everyone knows what kind of side stoke are, strong physical long ball channel side, they stuck to their game plan and exucuted it effieiecentlybut on performance luton were playing a better liverpool side (although minus gerrard n torres) hadnt been paid, not excatly got big time players. and im sure us tv watchers when watching liverpool score thought "bloody lucky scousers" and "poor luton, so close but they lose to late goal" who really expected luton to go straight up pitch and score?? no oneand thats what makes that better performance than 0-0 draw vs goal shy mags
Pinks 0 Posted January 7, 2008 Is it just me or does anyone else think its quite ironic that our "nouveau riche" neighbours down the road are circling like vultures looking for pickings over two or three Luton players?
Old Boy 0 Posted January 7, 2008 Well, actually, I was impressed with Stoke''s Sam Parkin - John Hartson''s eldest son? What a forward line there - for the British Lions.
Syteanric 1 Posted January 7, 2008 i think we should commend Burnley on their performances against the Arse too.... jas :)
Pinks 0 Posted January 7, 2008 .....and while we''re at it I think congrats are in order to ref Halsey for sending Rodney Trotter off [:D]
Buncey 1 Posted January 7, 2008 I would love it so much if luton beat liverpool. It''d be one of the best days in recent football. Personally I think it''s disgraceful that liverpool wouldn''t donate the measly match fee that they received to luton. A Luton, who can''t afford to pay any of it''s staff, who are on the verge of being in extinction. The next day liverpool want to buy a 6.5 million pound defender. I really hope luton pull themselves out of this mess.
Camuldonum 0 Posted January 7, 2008 If the rumours on our sites are correct Coyne is/has (depending on the rumour author) signing/signed for Colchester. We made the first approach last week and it was reported that Luton had rejected our offer but presumably the administrators want to get in as much money as they can because of the Hatters unfortunate financial plight.I have not seen anything official yet but apparently Sky are saying "close to signing" for us. 6088m canary 4 Posted January 7, 2008 ok. so im a norwich fan born and raised in Watford (family from gorleston).........So i of course have no particular liking for the Hatters. but having watched their display yesterday i was proud for a team i should hate almost as much as the suffolk bunch (after all had a watford season ticket up to age of 9!).................i am absolutely disgusted by liverpools actions.......................i am with "the Man" in hating liverpool with a passion...in fact i actually hate them more than our suffolk "friends".....but this has taken the biscuit!not happy with destroying modern football beyond recognition (heysel, hillsborough.....getting NCFC in europe 1 time instead of the many if they werent a bunch of scouse thugs!!)......they now seem intent on destroying a league team on the basis of Jon own goal legend Riise´s weeks wage?!?!?!?!Lets hope they dont make the champions league place.......lets hope they lose all their cash.....and lets hope they do a leeds!!Bar Stewards :(:(::(
