Taxing 0 Posted January 9, 2008 You have to admire ambition but I hope that the sell-on clause isn''t exclusively liknked to Peterborough making it to the Championship !Quote : Meanwhile, young stopper Joe Lewis yesterday completed his four-and-a-half year permanent switch to ambitious League Two Peterborough in a deal that could eventually net Norwich £700,000.Posh chief Darragh McAnthony confirmed his club had smashed their existing transfer record - Martin O''Connor''s £350,000 move from Walsall in 1996 - after Lewis was unveiled at London Road. "The deal will end up worth well over £700,000 by the time we are in the Premiership," he said. "I don''t see the signing of Joe as a gamble at all.
The Voice of the Thorpe Area 0 Posted January 9, 2008 Oh dear! Clearly we won''t receive a penny of this extra £300,000 until pigs start joining the RAF
NIGELWNONOTHIM 0 Posted January 9, 2008 It is a bit worrying that we are selling our family silver and the potential crown jewels for the sake of a few hundred thousand. What state is our club in?
breaker2 0 Posted January 9, 2008 Yes jolly optimisitc, you never know though...I mean in my opinion the way QPR are going, they are building a squad more than capable of holding its own in the premiership, and it goes to show what investment can do for you, plus some rather influential connections (and i know they have 3 ridiculously rich men behind them im just saying)their latest capture is a player i have seen some of playing in the Apertura last season, and in all honesty i cant believe he will be playing in the Championship! Id have had him down as a cert to join Banfield or Newells Old Boys possibly even River Plate...not QPR!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sebasti%C3%A1n_Rusculledahttp://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=540764
