Yellow Rider 0 Posted December 22, 2007 Won 5, drawn 2, lost 3 since GR came in so 17 points out of possible 30.Clear improvement in results certainly even if performances have not always been as quality as we would like. The team are certainly more solid now and look less like conceding. However, the bottom of the table is so tight with no team (as yet) getting left behind. I think 5 points separate 8 teams so any slip in form with a couple of defeats would see us right back in the bottom three without a doubt.GR is doing a great job and we can look forward to the second half of the season with some optimism. We have had a tendency in years gone by to ''come down with the decorations'' - pray that''s not the case this time round!
Quantum 0 Posted December 22, 2007 Another thing to note - look at the difference between where Palace were then and where they are now!
Jonnyboy 0 Posted December 23, 2007 They''ve done the same as us but plus two more points! But it just shows how far we have come in ten games!!Long may it carry on
Marty 0 Posted December 23, 2007 they should keep the table when we were 5 points adrift posted at Carrow road to remind the players, it''s easy to forget how badly we were doing.
Skippy 0 Posted December 23, 2007
Another thing to note - look at the difference between where Palace were then and where they are now!
Not surprising though - they had appointed their new manager a couple of weeks earlier so had a chance to get going before us. Unlucky Fried Kitten 0 Posted December 23, 2007 It''s interesting to compare the records of Grant and Roeder this season, and a perfect time to do so as they have both been in charge for ten league games.Grant''s record................ Played Won Drawn Lost For Against Points 10 2 2 6 5 11 8 ................................................................Roeder''s record..............Played Won Drawn Lost For Against Points 10 5 2 3 14 13 17Glenn''s record would look a bit tidier if we had scored a couple more goals and conceded fewer, but it has to be said he has done an excellent job so far in steadying the ship. Long may the improvement continue!Glenn''s record over the last 7 games is better still:- Played Won Drawn Lost For Against Points 7 5 1 1 11 5 16The last seven games also include 3 clean sheets.
