Free Bet This Weekend

Recommended Posts

Now you lovely old Pickers I didn''t expect to be on here this week as my computer refused to work on Christmas day . It was fine on Christmas Eve but just made a clicking noise after , Anyhow my son Robs is going to fix it for me,  in the meantime he has lent me the use of his computer and I was dead chuffed that I was able to log on the site all on my own just by working it out myself . I must admit it don''t feel  the same as mine but i like his key board better than mine .

I had the wonderful Nutty Nigel on stand by just in case I couldn''t make it . We didn''t want to see you lovely old Pickers go without your Free Bet . Now this weekend is going to be "lappinitup"to make the final selections .So lets help him out if we can ,mind you how he has been slamming those "nap" in I don''t see how we can.. I hope  he has recovered from his encounter with Wine,Whisky, & Beer on Christmas day .Never again is it lapp" eh ?[:D] will talk to you all later [Y] arrdee

with charltons injury crisis biting and now sodje suspended - and after playing with 10 men for the most of the match today - expect to see charlton give a poor show away.  a win for leciester today will have boosted their moral and should see them prevail over the sarth londoners come saturday at good odds - holloway will wany more of the same.leicester to beat charlton.

W.B.A to beat Scunthorpe

I dont suppose the odds are great, but we want winners and short prices in an accumulator can add up to a nice little earner.

Good luck everybody.

Hey ardee, just so theres no confusion, is it my turn again or the other lappin? Weve got pretty similar names! Cheers, keep up the good work.
Now "lapin it up"no doubt you are a sweet and wonderful young man but I don;t think I could handle another week like we had before . have you thought about calling yourself  Bill or Fred ? Of course you are welcome to have another go at the final selections ,I am ready to put you on my rota for sometime in Feb if you agree.

I have had a word with Billy Dixon of Dixmar Racing about the abandoned match he would have paid out on 5 res so you were correct Jim , although he said most firms would pay out indeed if the second half had started at whatever the score was . He thinks his rule is the best because the punters dosen''t lose this way ,like I did with my Scottish match when the snow came .

So come on you lovely City supporters remember you have the chance to help your Club by making that one selection your "nap" it will help "lappinitup" no end .Also remember you are the only fans in the country that can help your club in this way. So you lovely fans are making history.I will talk to you all later [Y] arrdee.
Lappin it up. We have IDENTICAL names with the exception of a couple of gaps. I find your posts are sensible and constructive but it''s a shame you weren''t quite as sensible when it came to choosing a username. To be fair, judging by your post, even you admit to being confused so why not try a new name that''s exclusive to you. I  would like to add, I came up with the name on 30-01-07 the day BEFORE Simon lappin signed for the club.

To all pickers, this is the last chance this year to add to the kitty. Glenn Roader and Yankee have lifted the spirits of late so let''s hope we can see 2007 out with a bang. Best of luck everyone especially arrdee and nutty nigel. They deserve it for all the work they put into this thread !  [:D]

Greetings Pink Un Pickers..... alright [Y]

Another difficult week by the looks of things. The only one of the Premiership top four with a home game are Chelsea who entertain Newcastle. This time of year should see the richer clubs huge squads prove to be an advantage and with the geordies struggling at the moment a home win looks on the cards here.

Chelsea V Newcastle    Home win.

Good luck Lappinitup [Y] I''m sure you''re gonna be Nappinitup... And Dixmar will be Crappinitup... while we''re all  wrappinitup for the academy........  Not ''arf [Y]

That''s right.... hold tight... stay bright [H]

Mods.. could this be a sticky again please because there are two ''Free Bet Freds'' on page one at the moment and it could get confusing... ta [Y]

Sorry to hear about the computer problems Ardee, have also had some problems with mine and got a new keyboard, thats the only problem with internet porn. Anyway on to my selection for this saturday

Celtic v Gretna  - Home win

This can only have one possible result and i''ll be £60 notes out of pocket myself if Celtic dont win well in this one well as i have £20 on 2-0, 3-0 and 4-0

Good luck Lappinitup and change your name Lappin it up[;)]

Can you change your username without having to make a new profile? It seems sometimes on these boards the more posts you have the more you listen, and i dont do as many as most, because i only comment when i really feel i have something to add to the debate.

Goodluck to my namesake, with regards to my nap, at the risk of being boring il say CELTIC to beat Gretna! About 1-10 but every little helps n all that...

I''d like another go at some point if poss please Ardee, feel free to recruit me for selection duty any time.

Good luck this week "the original" lappinitup!

I''d be wary of Celtic, to be honest as they''ve let us down 3 times on the trot! They seem to be wavering a bit, and Gretna seem to be getting better each week after initially struggling. I think this has draw written all over it.

However, my nap this week has to be ALDERSHOT, still sitting pretty at the top of the Blue Square, home win against an indifferent Grays Athletic.

Well done this year pickers - Happy new year to all of you!

Thanks for that lappin it up, much appreciated. At the top of this page it says edit your details. Click on your name and where it says ''about you'' simply change you name. You can also add an avatar and/or a signature from there if you wish. Hope that helps.

Ah well this week looks very much like last week,

Nothing much sticks out except for Celtic v Gretna (OH NOT THEM ! ), yes indeed, and understandably  in light of the last three weeks I am avoiding them, wouldn''t touch them with a bargepole, or even a balcksmith''s hammer ! ha ha ! sorry.

However all is not lost, I think there is a very nice bet , just as good I feel , in the non league sphere,  and it''s :-  Forest Green(nap) to comfortably beat Droylsden.

Good luck "Lappinitup" it''s up to you to round off Christmas with some good cheer in the shape of mega bucks for Norwich City Youth !

This form table suggests that Man Utd might be onto an away win against West Ham, who are having trouble winning at home.  Man Utds'' class will get them past the post in a close game, probably a 2-1 scoreline.Man Utd - 25 points from 30.West Ham - Home Form in last 5 matches - 1 win, 3 draws, 1 loss.

I have just been looking on Boyle Sports pages ,I see they have Olymiakos at 1-8 which must mean a win , thats in the Greece super league by the way . They also have in the Dutch league Alkmaar at 2-9 both must be in with a shout . If I had to name a "nap" well you know who it would be [Y] arrdee.

I''m sorry about my choice of Celtic letting you down last week Jim ( although I think Newcastle also failed to deliver ). You may have noticed that I was somewhat hesitant about Celtic. My first choice was actually Rotherham to beat Wrexham but committed the cardinal sin of allowing emotion to affect my decision.

Regardless, I think Celtic were given a bit of a reprieve by Rangers so again, I go for:

Celtic to beat Gretna

Very kind of you arrdee, the festive period is getting in the way of my internet time.  I''ve only just discovered my computer again under 2 metric tonnes of our boys'' presents, having stood up for the first time in 5 days after eating my own body weight in food.

Just a couple of days to work off the excess before New Year !  I hope you have a happy new year arrdee, and a successful one for the pickers too [:)]

Firstly. To Delias Tasty Nibblets. Well done that man and thanks. May you one day taste the delights of Delias nibblets.   [:D]

Now for my selections. Every picker gives a good case for their selections so you''d like to go with them all but it doesn''t work like that does it ? So here goes (he says with trepidation).

WBA v Scunthorpe

CHELSEA v Newcastle

ALDERSHOT v Grays Athletic

FOREST GREEN v Droyslen

OLYMPIAKOS v FC Xanthi

CELTIC v Gretna.   [:''(]

Sorry to those of you I''ve missed out but I guess you''ve all been here so you know what it''s like.

To all of you, I hope you all have a happy and PROSPEROUS new year.   [<:o)][B][8][D]

Yep you lovely old Pickers the bet is on thanks to the one and only "Lappinitup"and of course Dixmar Racing . The bet is

W.B.A.------------------------4-9

Chealsea-----------------------4-9

Aldershot----------------------5-4

Forrest Green------------------1-2

Olympiakos--------------------1-5

Celtic-------------------------- 1-6

Which wins the Academy £88 58p lovely old job "Lapp". If I could just say that the odds on Olypiakos are not Dixmar Racing ''s as Billy Dixon didn''t have the Greek league at hand he could have found out but as I had the need for speed to get the message on , I told him the best I had seen from the big house''s .So if anyone finds better odds don''t blame Dixmar its down to me . I wish you all the best of luck [Y] ,talk to you all later , and once again thank''s to the one and only "lappinitup" You lovely old boy.arrdee

So it will soon be eyes down and lets look at the results coming in , If its half as good as last weeks entertainment from "Gentleman Jim" It will be great .[:D] thanks once again the one and only "Lappinitup" [Y] arrdee.
