Ivana_rubyatitz 6 Posted December 14, 2007 Can''t say this was really a surprise! A good piece of brinksmanship from their board to bring protracted negotiations to a conclusion.
MyGodWeArePoorToWatch 0 Posted December 14, 2007 Good for them.I wouldnt want to stay up because they got a 10 point penalty. If we stay up, it should be because we were good enough, not because some poor bloody club went bankrupt.
canary cherub 1 Posted December 14, 2007 Why is anyone surprised? They had a serious bidder but negotiations had been dragging on for ages. Transfers were embargoed and the January window was looming. So the club set a deadline by threatening the various interested parties (potential owners, bank, shareholders etc.) with administration unless they pulled their fingers out and agreed a compromise. It was a bit of ballsy brinkmanship and it worked. Well done Coventry.
Show Me What You Gooot! 0 Posted December 14, 2007 Do they still have the transfer restriction in place or can they now move in for Taylor? I gather they were previously linked with him anyway.
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted December 14, 2007 Well I guess you can scrub them off your list Doncaster, for the time being at least.
Desi Rascall 0 Posted December 14, 2007
Well I guess you can scrub them off your list Doncaster, for the time being at least.
anyway whys doncaster being so smug about coventry, did he forget we were also "six hours away from administration" at one point? As pointed out elsewhere Leeds and Luton went into administration after being relegated to league one,who does that leave on Doncasters wallchart of clubs whose CEO''s are worse than ours....CARDIFF !!!HAA in your face Cardiff, Your CEO is worse than ours....EAT IT
ellis206 0 Posted December 15, 2007 Well if the board took most of the fans on heres advice and showed some "ambition" then Norwich would be in administration by now as well, probably bankrupt in fact, but that would be ok because they showed "ambition" n all the moaners would be happy. Unlucky Fried Kitten 0 Posted December 15, 2007 So that''s alright then! Coventry sorted; QPR sorted; the Scum sorted and virtually every tin pot little outfit you can think of sorted. And still the cook would have us believe that nobody is interested in investing in Norwich City! Hmmm! I wonder....
