Jim Duffy to Dunfermline

Recommended Posts

Taken from Scotland on Sunday:

DUNFERMLINE will draw up a short-list of names for the vacant manager''s position at the club on Tuesday.

Chairman John Yorkston plans to meet with director of football Jim Leishman and several board-members to discuss applicants'' suitability for the job following Stephen Kenny''s sacking last Tuesday.

A host of well-known faces have already been linked with the post, including John Robertson, Jim Duffy, Allan Moore, John McGlynn and Dick Campbell. Yorkston has received in excess of 30 job applications.

He said: "We are not having a board meeting as such on Monday but Jim Leishman, myself and a few other directors are going to get together to discuss the search."

Kenny, who took over in November last year, was shown the exit door after last week''s defeat to Dundee left the pre-season promotion favourites Dunfermline 21 points adrift of Hamilton at the summit.

Poor poor Dunfermline, wonder if they''ll get Grant as their assistant?

A bit harsh Jas. Whilst he hasn''t be as brilliant as some of our fellow posters were claiming when he signed he has steadily improved. He seems to have a bit of luck on his side as some of his dodgier moments of late have not led to goals (the Coventry shot in the last minute that hit the post & the dropped cross against Sheff Utd) - against that the saves against Blackpool and Plymouth certainly earned us the 3 points.

Dunfermeline already have Gallacher of course.......
