gsr600 0 Posted December 5, 2007 a lot of you on here seem to be saying that cureton hasnt been upto standard in the last couple of games and therefore you doubt he will start, we all know that if he doesnt then the likely option to play will be dublin, but what if this isnt the case, what would be ure opinions if say the team to start was marshallsemmy, taylor, shackell, camerachadwick fozzy pattison huckerby evans martinwith subs arnold dublin croft spilane smithim thinking this might be the time for martin to step forward and show that evans aint the only one capable of starting and scoring, just tp prove a point
Old Boy 0 Posted December 5, 2007 I think that''s a fair point. Martin could become the youngest has-been ever.
Salopian 1 Posted December 5, 2007 You are hoping for a vistory of youthful exeuberance over experience?
James Kent 0 Posted December 5, 2007 No dublin will start and if he doesn''t then it will be cureton again.
Woodford Canary 0 Posted December 5, 2007 What would people think to this formation? marshallsemmy, taylor, shackell, camarachadwick fozzy pattison croft evans huckerbyMight give us the best of all recent performances whilst challenging Cureton? (Could play Russell and Pattison rather than Pattison and Croft)

They will do the business.
gsr600 0 Posted December 5, 2007 croft wouldnt work on the left, the only reason i asked about possibilty of martin is if hes had words with roeder then he might be pushing harder to prove he has a place and it might be interesting to see these to youngster together, and theres nothing wrong woth young exuberence, especially if that young exuberence is backed by talent, which is fairly obvious that both martin and evans has, the problem martin had was jis attitude but he might just be interested in showing reoder that evans aont the only one there that can score
sam 0 Posted December 5, 2007 think this would be better:marshall, otsemobor, taylor, shackell, camara, chadwick, fotheringham, pattison, huckerby, evans, dublinsubs: arnold, doherty, croft, smith, curetoncan''t go much wrong with that team
Syteanric 1 Posted December 5, 2007 Chris Martin is over rated Rubbish! A season long loan at a blue square south club might show him how the other side lives! might make him buck his idears up a bit.jas :)
7rew 0 Posted December 5, 2007 Would go for: marshallsemmy, taylor, shackell, camarachadwick russel fozzy pattison evans huckerbyThen later turn it into, if neccessary: marshallsemmy, taylor, shackell, camara russel fozzy pattison croft evans huckerby
gsr600 0 Posted December 5, 2007 that so called over rated rubbish helped keep norwich in the championship last season, i reckon he needs a chance to prove himself, again
Mason 47 1,373 Posted December 5, 2007 Ched Evans shows us how good Martin was, and still should be. Once Martin got his contract he gave up working hard and settled for what he had, now hes nowhere near the starting line up. I always thought he was a bit overrated anyway
San Miguel 0 Posted December 5, 2007 What a fantastic way to play half the team in the wrong position!sorry but:1. Why would Croft work on the left? and why would Roeder put him there when he won''t even play him in his correct position on the right?2. Huckerby has been tried upfront far too many times, he is obviously at his best on the left wing and when he''s put in another position he just drifts out there anyway3. What makes you think Pattison can play centre midfield? all we''ve seen of him is on the left wing where he has been pretty effectiveand lastly,4. Where is Russell? Easily the best midfielder so far this season
sam 0 Posted December 5, 2007 if it wasn''t for martin norwich could well be playing league 1 football now let alone next season!!!!!!the lad has barely had a chance this year for god sakecut him some slack he can''t be any worse then brown and strihavka, they are both a complete waste of time
Tangible Fixed Assets anyone? 0 Posted December 5, 2007
Ched Evans shows us how good Martin was, and still should be. Once Martin got his contract he gave up working hard and settled for what he had, now hes nowhere near the starting line up.
Agreed. Martin needs to go on loan to a lower division club. It will show him what it is like to play for a poorer resourced club and it might get him back into goalscoring form.
barclay_canary 0 Posted December 5, 2007 Heres a quote from another thread regarding Chris Martin. "Martin was fantastic when he burst on to the scene last year. Howeveras soon as he got his contract he became a different player....lazy andseemed uninterested. Great talent but i think he needs to sort hishead out and show that he wants to play for us."This is very true, but could Ched Evans do the same, hes desperate to play football so he makes an impression on the pitch, but if we sign him permanent, will he become another Chris Martin?? As for Cureton, we all know how good he has become sinse he was a city player last. but how do we analyze last season at Colchester? beside Iwelomu supplying him with the means to score, what else was there for him that inspired him to be the Championships top scorer?? and what can Roeder and the Norwich team do to bring that for him? and also what does Cureton have to do to find the back of the net again. every top striker goes through this in their career. Michael Owen has, Crouchy at Liverpool,(although no one can explain his cup goals and international success) even the great Shearer did. all we can do as supporters is to shout his name and inspire him to score us the goals
yellow hammer 0 Posted December 6, 2007 A green-haired fella named CuretonThrough the middle of the park put a spurt onWhen the ball hit the netThe ref cried out "Nyet!Coz you''ve come out to play with no shirt on!"
Syteanric 1 Posted December 6, 2007
that so called over rated rubbish helped keep norwich in the championship last season, i reckon he needs a chance to prove himself, again
no he didnt.. he scored a few goals over janauray/February... he has actually gone the same number of games Chris Brown did without a goal now... funny how he gets the "best contract ever offered to a youth player" (so Peter Grant told us) then the goals dry up isnt it? Roeder hasnt even put him anywhere near the first team which speaks volumes for me... if we can sign a striker in the window i wouldnt be suprised to see either Chris turfed out of the club.jas :)
