a1canary 0 Posted November 27, 2007 Because if they carry on the way they are, Allardyce will yield the axe and bring in some hungry young players to freshen things up and give their galacticos a kick up the backside. And that means people like Pattison. Having see their performance against Liverpool, i don''t think there''s any doubt that he would have improved the team in that game.
NegativeVibes 0 Posted November 27, 2007 Oh my days.. First of all it is not suprising that Newcastle lost 3-0 to a team of Liverpools standard. If he didn''t rate the squad and wanted to give them a kick up a backside he would simply buy more players in January or play his other players that are way better than Pattison! He is an average Championship player and after you''ve seen him against a mediocre Coventry side you suddenly think he''s got a good chance ahead of Damien Duff etc who currently isn''t playing for Newcastle, or their players who are much better than Pattison.. You mean Damien Duff that Roeder signed before playing Pattison in the first team anyway? Liverpool played well and you can''t legislate for Gerarrd''s free kick but Newcastle were defensively up there with us last weekend, seriously. Pattison would have been a better than an out of position Smith, a creaking Butt (?!) or a half asleep Emre.
The Walking Man 13 Posted November 27, 2007 He only has 6 months lef ton his contract and we have an option to sign him... But it would be interesting to see what happens when allardyce gets sacked...
