Quashie set for loan switch to Norwich - West Ham

Nigel Quashie is on the verge of a move to Glenn Roeder''s Norwich City.

The

midfielder - who is fit again following a six month absence through

injury - is thought to be one of two players Roeder, who recently

succeeded Peter Grant at Carrow Road, is looking to bring in on loan.

Quashie signed for the Hammers in January of this year but is now

surplus to requirements following the summer arrivals of Scott Parker,

Kieron Dyer and Freddie Ljungberg.

Norwich are currently bottom of the Football League Championship.

Roeder, who took the managerial reigns last month, has so far seen his

team take just one point from his three games in charge.

Quashie - who cost United £1.5m when he signed from Championship side

West Brom - has made just eight first team appearances for the club.
