ricardo 7,239 Posted November 6, 2007 You are having a Larf!!!!Without him we had no pace, no width, no outlet ........................so no chance. You only had to look at Watford to see what pace does for you. They were quick, strong and solid all round. We are miles away from that at the moment.Spend money now Delia. Xmas will be too late

Buncey 1 Posted November 6, 2007 If we had huckerby we would have just lost 6-
south stand corner terrace 0 Posted November 6, 2007 Huckerby is getting slower each game, he is a one trick pony that everyone has sussed out. This was shown by his sending off against Ipswich because most of his runs were fruitless and he took his frustration out on the ipswich player

The Great Drinkell 50 Posted November 6, 2007 Where as on sunday he was our best player !!!!! oh and for that matter any game you care to mention this season. We need a balanced team. The guy we really miss is Drury.
Smudger 0 Posted November 6, 2007 Quite so Ricardo...Everything came through Huckerby on Sunday... those who have given him stick lately are the same fools that are dragging this club in to the gutter by sticking by this board and giving them yet another chance.Told you all ages ago that it would all end in tears... and yet still the majority are choosing to put their ear muffs on!!! Syteanric 1 Posted November 6, 2007 he''s retiring at the end of the season.. so we better get used to not having him.. or will that mean we pack up and go home so as not to get relegated to league 2?we''ve relied on him too long.. its time for people to show they can cope when he does hang up his bootsjas :)

I guess there defence wouldn''t have dared pushing up to get Cureton offside if there was the threat of Huckerby on the left.
Time to go Delia 0 Posted November 6, 2007 Huckerby may be getting slower but we miss him when he does not play , as for slow please can somebody get Hartson out of this football club he makes us look an utter laughing stock, if we have nobody who can do a better job then we really are up sh/t creek . I would rather us play with 10 men than have the fat slob on the pitch , just how many thousands are we paying him a week , money well and truly wasted. You''re dead right on that one as DH would be 10 yards further up the pitch - already offside - lol

Dowp End 0 Posted November 7, 2007 We miss both Huckerby and Drury. Chadwick whilst putting in a damn good effort kept drifting leaving to much space on the left for a) them to play into and b) for Lappin to defend. Lappin and Russell struggled to cover and at times looked like they were being expected to multi-task beyond reasonable expectation especially with Russell trying to help defend and then endevour to plough forward to support our very few attacking breaks with Hartson still trying to catch up. With Chadwick roaming we had nothing in the way of attack on the left or to be honest in defence either which from where I was sitting our left hand side was where most of Watfords thrust came from. Huckerby gives us the width a still has enough pace to always provide a threat. With Drury in support to him we miss them both equally. I rate Lappin but think to much was asked of him Tues and he was expected to have to cover too much ground with Chadwicks drifting.
