Should we sign Henri Camara?

Recommended Posts

He''s said he want''s to leave Wolves to play in the Premiership. He wants to become African footballer of the year (he''s Senagalese) and doesn''t think this will happen while playing in the 1st Division.

He would have the right attitude then, dont think he would cost too much in wages or transfer fee and he looked quite useful towards the end of Wolves campaign. (scored 7 in 20 games I think).

Still need a pacey defender I know but goals win games!

I would say definitely not! I''ve come to the complete opposite conclusion as you Texas1 over Camara''s comments! To me, he sounds exactly the sort of mercenary player we don''t need. Fine, all players should have personal goals. But it seems as though he is more interested in winning awards for himself than being part of a team. Its going to be a long, tough season, and to stand a chance of staying up we need to have all our players together to continue the great team spirit which has enabled us to reach the Premier league. Admittedly this is only one interview, but he comes across as a very selfish type, especially when he states that he is prepared to sit and wait in Senegal until Wolves sell him.

We certainly need another striker, but I don''t think he sounds the sort of character Worthy would put up with.

i think he would actually cost upwards of a million, and given that we have a lot of strikers at the club it is not worth it - we should concentrate on bolstering other positions

Many people forget how bad camara was at wolves in the first half of the season when they needed him. He only scored goals when they were effectively down and had no pressure on them.

As El Cid was heard to shout as he road out in to battle "if that henri camara signs for us we are shafted." I think we should listen to El Cid on this one.
