YellowIce 0 Posted November 7, 2007 Did anyone hear Mumby on the radio before the Ipsh*t game???He was talking about the prospects of investment on the back of Ipsh*t getting Marcus Evans. He was saying that at the moments the club is up for sale however only if they have the best for Norwich at heart. He then said "i still believe that a low value team with the right balance can get you up the table"Reasons this piss*d me of:1 - if you look at teams like Bristol City they are low value non-names but who have been playing together for ages and are always the underdogs we sell players we want to build our team round the second they are worth money so no time to gel before we need points again.2 - watford last night showed how big money players are a cut above the rest. With the GAP between the prem and championship becoming so large the teams coming down will always have these players and others wont be able to go up. 3 - the way the comment was said meant that the idea of getting to the premiership was just a pipe dream for the foreseeable future and actually floating around each season was fine. BBFF 0 Posted November 7, 2007 Mumby dont want the FOOTBALL team takeing money away from the boards / NCPLC "off the pitch" dream world. FOOTBALL MUST COME FIRST
kdncfc 0 Posted November 7, 2007 It won''t please Roeder if he hears that attitude from the board, Roeder clearly stated that he wouldn''t be here if he didn''t think the board wanted promotion as much as him. Trouble is money is needed to achieve such a feat and it''s amazing how much crap our board spout when it comes down to the question of investment in the team.
