PLAYERS VISIT GORLESTON TONIGHT!

Recommended Posts

At last....a proper punishment for our over-paid, under-performing, Costa-Del-Carra holiday reps.

Infact, why not make it a little bit tougher for them and make them park their nice cars in Cobham while their WAG''s go shopping in Market gates and their kids are forced to eat lots of rock and candy floss before visiting the House of Wax after dark thus keeping our boys up all night.

On top of this they should take home a weeks supply of bloaters in their underpants.

And if that doesn''t teach them we''ve still got Thetford and Kings Lynn.

All well and good Hucker, but I don''t see Gorleston on your itinerary.

Actually I don''t think you''ve ever been to Gorleston - on sea  otherwise you would not be such a rude Hucker.

We don''t welcome spoilt slobs, their WAGS (or WABS), or Huckers in our neck of the woods.

We''re opposite to your trail. Your hotspots are North and we are South.

They''d be welcome to stay under Yarmouth''s Britannia Pier I imagine. Should be right up thier street.

Hcuk.

Exactly, Hcuk, that''s just the way we like it.

Norfolk''s hidden secret.

So Gorleston is the 12 fingered-child chained to the radiator in Norfolks loft, whose lonely sobs are drowned out by the banjo playing of his parents downstairs ?

No blah, just a nice quiet seaside resort.

That''s all.

The same could be said for Dereham, although I refuse to mention Toftwood in case I get home and find my house on bricks.

Damn.

No hard feelings. Here is a song:

GORLESTON

Gorleston, oh Gorleston

I still hear your sea winds blowing
I still see her dark eyes glowing
She was twenty-one
When I left Gorleston

Gorleston, oh Gorleston
I still hear your sea waves crashing
While I watch the cannon flashing
And I clean my gun
And I dream of Gorleston

I still see her standing by the water
Standing there, looking out to sea
And is she waiting there for me?
On the beach where we used to run

Gorleston, oh Gorleston
I am so afraid of dying
Before I dry the tears she''s crying
Before I see your sea birds flying
In the sun, at Gorleston

having spent some childhood years in Gorleston..I wouldn''t go back!

No offense!

Rather uncharitable Vicar. Especially without reason.

What bothered you - or was it just those bracing winds off the North Sea?
