Here's A Question - World Cup 2018

Recommended Posts

If england were to win the bid to have fifa world cup 2018 and they''d like norwich to be one of the host grounds and wanted to raise the capacity to say 40,000, would you be in favour of it? (you''d have to imagine that we''d be in the same position as now in 10 years time)

Norwich wouldn''t be a ground with the likes of Wembley,Liverpool,Man Utd,Everton,Tottenham,Arsenal,Sunderland,Newcastle,Leeds,Reading,Derby,Southampton,West Ham,Sheff Wed,Aston Villa to name a few off the top of my head that would all come first

Hahahaha. Just wondering if you''d like a 40,000 ground but no chance of ever filling it. I probbably wouldn''t, it''d make it atmosphere even worse really.

...........add to the list Man City, Bolton, the new Ricoh arena in Coventry plus the Riverside and there is plenty of choice without looking our way. Even if they did they''d go down the road in some sentimental way that that lot are regarded.

However, if your theorectical question did become an actual question I would agree with you say "No", I''d rather have a 30-32,000 stadium (assuming development at some time of the City stand) largely full than have acres of empty seats on a regular basis. We''ve seen recently how a morgue atmosphere affects the dynamics on the pitch and the whole experience for the fans.
