Norwich v Ipswich Match Thread

Recommended Posts

Can''t find a match thread anywhere so am starting one.  Half-time two nil down!  How the hell did that happen?  Watching on Sky it seems we''ve had all the play.  Binners have had two real chances from nothing and have scored!  And how did Hucks and Cureton miss their golden chances? Shacks hits the post with a header. We should have at least a couple of goals.  Pleased overall with the performance but WE NEED SOME LUCK PLEASE GOD!  Why is fate so cruel to teams at the bottom?

Well said, I think you have summed up the match both accurately and fairly, and I agree with you about luck!

red for hucks, bit unlucky considering they both did the same. but then the ref and linesmen seem to have been pro scum all game... two penalties we should have had, one for handling in the box... or did that happen twice? and then hucks being taken down... not to mention the goal that never was of pavlovas. but hey, good signs from glen and if we arry on playing like that who knows.

Finished 2-2.  Proud to be Norwich after a display like that.  Ipswich were pretty anaemic all game and can count themselves lucky with a point.  I''m confident IF the players put the same amount of skill and passion into future games we''ll be okay at the end of the season.  A big plus mark as well to Roeder and Clarke on their debuts.  Solid start to the new regime IMO.

VERY Disappointed in Huckerby, has let the entire club down with that silly foul, after all the brave and hard work of the team he''s tainted the afternoon.

Good fight back, Norwich.  Well done.  I''m sure Roeder will turn your season round.  Now go and beat Watford!

Hucks played well, i would not even had minded him getting red IF he had broken thats pathetic town players leg! Thought Hartson was lazy at times even though he held up well and flicked on for the 2nd. Not sure who got MoM but i would say Chadwick had a suberb game as did Lappin

I think hartson is deffinatly needed, he is great at what he does, ok he will never last a full game, but for the first or last 25 mins he is perfect, a supersub if you like.

It amazes me that so many players like lappin, Russell and Otsemobor who have come under such critisism this season played very very well.

Lappin deserved MOTM.

MASSIVE difference in confidence and style of play today.

actually from one of those replays it looked like they both missed each other and shoulder barged instead... or am i just losing it?

Difficult to single out a MoM as they all did well.  Chadders showed some nice skils around the box and I liked the way Lappin was willing to commit a man and bring the ball forward instead of hoofing it from the back.  Otsemobor overlapped well on the right.  There was a nice balance to the side.

Get a grip, there''s no shame in putting a nasty tackle in on a scummer.

Most of you seemed to miss the fact  that the Binner lifted his foot first and I suspect that if Huckerby hadn''t lifted his foot higher the Binner would have done him.

The ref. also missed the blantant obstruction on Huckerby in the penalty area in the second half and the earlier handball in the penalty area.

Great display by the lads, well done.

Looking at the replay it''s clear to me that the scummer showed his studs first, although he did get to the ball before Hucks.  I think Hucks reacted to the showing of studs and showed his in response.
