What do you know about football. You are in USA. You do realise we are talking "Soccer" here dont you. We play 11 a side with a round ball. We dont dress up in helmets and padding.

What I find "funny" is that you have accidently stumbled across a "Soccer" site.

You are the weekest link... Goodbye!!!

What I find funny is the view that just because you''re from a different country, you can''t follow football...  I happen to quite like watching ice hockey, is that not allowed because I''m not Canadian, Russian or from the USA?

As for having just stubbled across a ''Soccer'' site, I''ve been reading posts from this guy for years and he knows his stuff... he didn''t just stumble upon this site 3 months ago ;-)

Been reading this site for years (I like to see what people have to say, rather than post tbh) but it''s really gone downhill of late.  Please come back old posters, so my lunch breaks aren''t so dull! :-P

Did you see the mess his lot made of the Wembley turf at the weekend, making divots with their massive helmets.

Guess it''s par for the course really, most countries have a fair bit of reconstruction to do after the Americans have paid a vist [;)].

All the time we waited for that bloody stadium to be finished and they let the yanks loose on our pitch. Now they are saying it will be "playable" when the England football (soccer) team need it.....Playable..It should be like a bloody bowling green.

As I recall, after the Germans got busy over Britain during WW2 a fair bit of re-construction was necessary. The British leader at that time invited ( or should I say begged ) the Americans to come help with the clean-up and to lead the assault to defeat the enemy. I suppose memories are a little short but, fear not, we will be there when you need us.

Ha ha ha...yeah all heart you Yanks.

The truth is America LOANED Britain the money to buy armaments at a time of war....and we finally paid back the said 60 year loan last year....Also...the Yanks never dipped their toes into the war until after Pearl Harbour...so heroic were they. I also stood alongside your gutless lot in Viet Nam....fine at shooting kids when they were high on dope....but ran a mile when things got tough.

While we on the subject of American kindness and lies....how about the African nations who were activlely discouraged to grow their own rice so they would have to buy in US surplus to survive? How about the poverty stricken tobacco growers in Malawi forced to sell their crop to an American cartel which excludes competition. How about the cynical American purchase of water rights in South America and oil ealsewhere to deprive the local people of prosperity? How about the blanket American purchase of Maize to produce ethanol for their gas guzzlers while poor nations who rely on it starve? How about the tens of thousands of Palestinians deprived of a homeland to protect the "Holyland" and ultimately bring about Armageddon for the US funamentalist Christian "End Timer" nutters?

Want some more kindness the Yanks have spread through the world?  There should be a wall around you lot like there is in Israel....then perhaps the rest of the world could live in peace......

Whoops, I touched a nerve there did I my short little friend. I did not realise, along with everything else that you have socialist leanings. Unfortunately, the glory days of the Kim Philby''s etc are a thing of the past so you will have to work hard to advance on that front.

If we are to engage in the truth then let us remember that the LOAN was made at a time of war that Britain had declared. The LOAN was made on the backs of the labour of American women and teenagers who collected every piece of scrap metal within the United States and toiled around the clock in factories to turn out record numbers of armament production to send to Britain for a loan that was made on such favourable terms that it would never be recovered in a true present value sense. When the US did get into the war the memory of my parents was that the British were dancing in the streets. However, I''m sure you would not want the facts to get in the way of your clear anti-American bias.

With respect to what America does around the world I''d have to agree that we are far from perfect. However, charged with the power that is currently available to us I suspect history will judge that we were a much more benevolent power than most that preceded us. Certainly Britain in its glory days raped and plundered its way around the world, did some good but like many of its peers, could hardly wait to raise its flag on foreign soil and claim the conquered land as its own. The USA, on the other hand, does not seek to "conquer" foreign territory and bring it under the umbrella of the USA. The ONLY land we REQUEST is space to bury our dead when appropriate.

[/quote]Or build Air bases, radar stations, prisons, naval bases, army bases, Star Wars equipment bases.  All except the prisons are deemed US territory.  The prisons aren''t as then you''d have to give the people there rights.Thats ignoring all the puppet governments you have around the world, in countries such as Afganistan, Iraq, the UK, and many South and Latin American countries.

Shall we move onto the native Indians at this point who were butchered for their land? How about the decimation of the buffalo which brought starvation to the native tribes?

No secret Yank...I don''t like what your bigotted nation stands for....and I suspect I speak for 99 per cent of the world these days.

Oh and thanks for Al Qeada by the way....wise move to fund them to fight the Russians for you in Afghanistan....Where next?  Iran?  More foreign blood spilled to further your perverted agenda of Christian fundamentalism?

God will indeed love you lot won''t he?

It is amazing that a picture of Anne Robinson can actually start a war. I know the old bag is trouble but I didnt realise she could cause this much bother between the English and the Yanks. I could understand if it was the Welsh cos she is used to upsetting them !!!
