Look at what happened when the FA announced that they were talking to Scolari for the England job..I just don''t see the benefit. If the board announced who they were speaking to, disgruntled fans would turn it into a negative whoever the candidates happened to be. Also, I don''t think the potential managers would be happy with it (the club would effectively be announcing all of the managers they turned down). YellowRoad 0 Posted October 25, 2007 2,5 weeks have gone ... the board has told us they have many high quality applicants ... how can they choose .... there is such a good mix ... very very difficult .... maybe Duffy will bring us the points after all ... and we the board don''t have to do anything ... it''s so so difficult to make decisions ... Duffy is such a nice person ... no points v Bristol and Burnley ... but they are very very good teams ...give Duffy time ... he''s such a nice person ... and now the easy games are coming up ... WBA, Ipswich and Watford ... abd we already have 8 points ... only 12 points from the Play-Offs ... give him time ... give him time ... he''s such a nice person ... and we can''t make a decision after only 2,5 weeks ... too many high quality Managers to choose from ... such a good mix ... they are all nice ... so nice ... and we already have 8 points ... and everybody is happy at the board ... why hurry ... the stadium is full every two weeks ... they are happy bunch.... 8 points ... not so bad is it .... what a jolly good season we have ... can''t wait for Christmas ... more easy games to come ...
