AGREED, BUT MAYBE THEY HOPED THAT UP UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE BEFORE THE IPSWICH GAME JEWELL MAY HAVE WANTED THE JOB?  WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT  WHEN DAVE STRINGER LEFT AND WE LOOKED LIKELY FOR RELEGATION THE NEXT SEASON, THAT MIKE WALKER WOULD HAVE STEERED US TO 3RD IN THE PREM AND EUROPEAN FOOTBALL. ROEDER'' S NOT A NAME TO GET EVERYONE EXCITED, BUT MAYBE HE''LL TURN OUT TO BE JUST WHAT WE NEED. TIME WILL TELL. ANY NEW MANAGER WE WOULD HAVE BROUGHT IN, HASN''T THE BEST PLAYERS TO SELECT FROM. WOULD JEWELL DO BETTER THAN ROEDER? WE''LL NEVER KNOW. ALL I KNOW IS WE ALL LOVE CITY AND WANT SUCCESS. LETS DO OUR BIT BY SINGING LOUD AND SUPPORTING OUR NEW MANAGER.

How do you think a recruitment process works? You''re probably too young to have been through one, but what happens is this: you advertise for applicants; you read through the applications; you interview those that interest you; you re-interview your shortlist; you think about the choice; you make the choice; you negotiate terms with your choice; you confirm your choice to the public. That''s the way it works, and it does take time. The main concern is - was the choice you made the right one?

Thankfully, the countless mongers of doom that use this site regulaly are just a small amount of our overall support. Those that used to write on here objectavly have long since departed, (myself included), or hanged themselves at the constant  depressive subject matter. (how many of these ar Binners.....?).

Totaly agree with your post, not my 1st choice by a mile, but realisticaly in the position we find ourselves it will always be difficult to attract top class managers. Glen Roeder should not only be backed by the board with available funds, but also the fans, whom for the las few seasons have turned FCR into little short of a morgue, and this includes the Prem. season. We wanted someone to in from outside the club, which we have, so lets just get on and support the club into hopefully better times.

Bravo Win Or Die.............
