No Quarter 0 Posted October 19, 2007 Why does Darren Huckerby persist on coming out in the press and spouting his mouth off? He plays for Norwich City. We are a club who has always sold it''s best players, much like any club of our size. Deal with it, and stop slagging your team mates off. No wonder there is a lack of team spirit at the moment. Why can''t he concentrate on running into dead ends, unconvincing dives in the box and flattering to deceive, rather than constantly whining that his poker buddies have left the club. He is under the impression that his comments count for something, that he''s bigger than the club. Well they''re not and he definately isn''t. And to say that we are "not the biggest payers". That tells you something about the so-called "fans favourite". Or is he just a bit jealous that no-body has made an offer for him........

What, like this season. Or last season. Or any season bar the season he was on loan/signed, when, yes, he was great? Yes, we all grow older. Unfortunately Huckerby has accelerated to the age of 80, when you keep spouting off about "the good old days" at Norwich and how "all your friends are dead" (etuh-whoo and saffri). And how your pension is not enough to make ends meet. Now he''s stuck with "the youth of today" and he doesnt like it!
Don,tPanic 0 Posted October 19, 2007 I agree......let him sod off, he unbalances the team and only tries when he feels like it
lucky green trainers 0 Posted October 19, 2007 i quite like to hear passionate players, who are obviously concerned about their club, coming out and telling it how it is to the fans and media. rather that than money grabbing machines who only care for their wages and keep their gobs shut when clearly the club is going belly up. Mister Positive 0 Posted October 19, 2007 How bloody idiotic to slate our best player, what did he do last year? the player that you claim has done nothing apart from promotion season. Last season, Master of Puppets Hucks scored 13, yes THIRTEEN Goals, so please, please think before you post as it only makes you look stupid when you don''t know the facts and figures. Huckerby is only outspoken because he cares about the club and the standards the club attain, hes saying what 90% of the fans think, Long may he reign

Clever Farke 64 Posted October 19, 2007 Obviously Hucks cares about the club and is merely stating the facts. Why not? As a senior professional I would think he has a duty to speak out. It''s not as if the manager disagreed with him and I''m sure he is supported by the majority of team members. Keep going Hucks!

southstand 0 Posted October 20, 2007 I don''t agree with the Paster of Muppets - great nick . suits youHucks is the main player in the current City team and he has the right to contribute to the level headed debate about the currnet problems of a City team facing relegation to Division 1.His comments are entirely accurrate - citing the relase of the two most importantmidfield players (Safri and Etuhu) as the key reason City are facing the trap doorMost of the posts concentrate on why we are not scoring goals - take a check on the abilityto creare good chances from midfield....Hucks did not knock Peter Grant , he was not trying to score points (although I would take 3 from any source)As a senior professional he surely has the experience to analyseCity''s demise , and make positive pointers to the way way forwardWhy knock City''s only star player - if you think he is underperformingtake a wider look at general contibutions on the pitch.Hucks, as he suggests, has been proved correct and I hope theboard and future amanage take full note of his continuing effortsand ability to pull City out of this mess - they have plenty of baggage to get rid of before they even think of upsetting their best player

First Wizard 0 Posted October 20, 2007 Hucks is closer to the real truths regarding the club than any poster on this messageboard. This is why the pro Smithies/apologists don''t like him and want him to shut up.He speaks the truth, and they can''t handle that!.[^o)]
gazzathegreat 0 Posted October 20, 2007 Keep saying it Hucks, tell the world just what''s going on in this spin obsessed club of ours. As you all know, he''s carrying a hip injury and isn''t fit. I don''t pretend or gloss over the facts he''s not playing at his best, no one is. Are you all going to sit there and pretend it''s all okay at CR? It''s not. We are going down the pan with frightening speed. Only last season there were calls on here, and no doubt elsewhere for players to come out and tell the truth instead of the weekly "We can do better" "We will win" etc etc.Hucks - you are a star and have done more for this club than the others combined. Keep it coming - at last a player who really cares about this club.

And none of this crap about injury please - if he can''t play properly because of injury he should declare himself unfit, if the manager doesn''t have the balls to do it, for the sake of the team. Also ditto in the workplace?........Hucks is not a Norfolk lad and owes no alliegence to the City at all....However he above all others has given this club genuine value for money over a long period...and to think Smith and Co. were prepared to miss out on him due to the "prudence" card.Without him there would have been no league title...and no Premiership money. HappyhammerAndy 0 Posted October 20, 2007 I saw some of him on the box the other week. He did not seem like the player of a few seasons back? Infact, he looked pi...ed off.Even if he wanted to leave, on that form, I don''t think that many premiership clubs would be interested in him, is that fair comment?
