carpio 0 Posted October 22, 2007 any thoughts on this? Could be ok but not sure what experience he has at club management But He IS a national coach so must be in with a shout IF HE IS INTERESTED
carpio 0 Posted October 22, 2007 Hareide asserted that in order to not only stay ahead at thedomestic level, but also perform better at the European level,Rosenborg would have to become more cynical and focus more on defensiveskill, while still maintaining the offensive play that had made theteam so strong in the first place. The new manager also highlighted theneed to renew the aging squad, whose continuity had been another key tothe club''s success; many of the players had been in the club since thestart of the 1990s. In a controversial move, Hareide began this processby releasing the popular Bent Skammelsrud, who subsequently retired.Under new leadership, Rosenborg laid waste to the league, losing only three games and winning 14 points ahead of runners-up Bodø/Glimt.The club claimed its seventh Double, again defeating Bodø/Glimt in thecup final. Despite failing to qualify for the Champions League,Rosenborg had enjoyed another great season and it looked like Hareide''sbeginning reforms were paying off, but 2003 turned out to be his oneand only season at the club as he accepted an offer to lead theNorwegian national team in December of that year. Dr. Ink 0 Posted October 22, 2007 I for one, really hope he gets the shout. Excellent record through his career as a maneger. I work with a bunch of Norwegians and they all rate him highly. The only problem may be the Euro Championship. It looks as if Norway will qualify, and that may swing his choice in favour of seeing it through with the national team. sydneysider 0 Posted October 22, 2007 As I''ve probably mentioned elswhere he is now my favourite for the job. However, the timing might not be right although he might feel he can do the national job part-time.#Ditto if M O''N takes over the England job he could manage us part-time. The best manager we never had!!!!!
Tom NCFC 0 Posted October 22, 2007 Here''s a post I started about 3 days ago!http://new.pinkun.com/cs/forums/1056034/ShowPost.aspxI reckon he''d be an interesting one to get!
we8wba 0 Posted October 22, 2007 looks good manager, is theyre any truth anywhere behind this either board saying theyre intrested or the bloke himselfgood shout though, just cant see it especially if no truth behind it
Cobain18 0 Posted October 22, 2007 I honestly know nothing about the bloke so I''m not sure on this either way. The problem that I could see though is that he may have very few English contacts and no know much about the English game (in terms of players.) I may be wrong, as I said I know nothing about the guy I''m just asking the question. Let''s face it we don''t currently have anyone at the club who has contacts.I believe we need a manager with the contacts for obvious reasons.
Buncey 1 Posted October 22, 2007 Age stated that he''d always want to come back to norwich, he had a good time here. I like him and he is a very good manager and has done well with teams of limited ability. I hoped he would be worthys replacement but grant was. I''d love to see him here but in my heart of hearts I just can''t see it. If he was to get the job i''d be over the moon.
