5 Managers Interviewed so far, of which 3 are to be known

Recommended Posts

Jim Duffy - has publicy said he wants the job and handed in his application and has believed to be interviewed before the bristol game

Martin Allen - Again, already mentioned the job would be one he would ''definately considered'', another thought to have been interviewed

Phil Parkinson - Keen to get back into the managers role again after a spell as the 2nd man at charlton, with an interview being undertaken

.....

The other two are thought to be Ian Crook and Aage Hareide...

I have to say none of these names excite me and are certaintly not proven at this level, which is what we need.. yes phil parkinson done a good job at colchester but failed miserably at hull and althought ive heard good things about Aage Hareide do we really want someone with NO EXPERIENCE in this league?

How i would love the Paul Jewell story to be true about him not being avaliable until november with Roger Munby stating the new manager wont be in place until after the west brom game, i just cant see it happening... Steve Tilson anyone?

Even though none of the managers you mentioned really excite me like the prospect of Jewell does, I wuld be happy with Allen or Parkinson.

They both did extremely well in the lower leagues on very small transfer budgets and neither would cost a fortune to get in. Yes, Parkinson didn''t do well at Hull but hopefully he would have learnt from his mistakes. But for the life of me I cant understand why Leicester got rid of Allen, even if Mandaric didn''t see eye to eye with him. He assembled a good squad there in a short period of time and in his final game in charge beat Watford 4-1.

I also think Allen really cares about the club''s fans which PG blatantly didn''t. Remember in the FA Cup whilst he was at Brentford when he allowed one of the fans to join him for the match day.

Even though Jewell would be my first choice, I really can''t see him coming, although I hope I eat my words!!! So Allen would be my second choice and he''ll make sure the players turn it on for us fans!

By the sounds of it, alot more than 5 have been interviewed. Didnt they say that they were having interviews at the end of last week, more this week. It sounds to me as if theyve interviewed at least 10 applicants.

Martin Allen: He''s got a decent track record, and we could certainly do alot worst. I just worry slightly about hsi Leicester problems and whether he''s a bit to erratic to turn us around enough. I''m sure he''d keep us up, but would he be a long term success?

But then primarily, we should just be targeting survival because relegation looms!

Phil Parkinson: Not for me, he did a decent job at Colchester, but then went to hull and failed. He also came accross as a right arrogant bloke, not somebody i''d want managing NCFC.

Jim Duffy: NO NO NO NO NO NO , no experience, part of the problem - the old regime, a Yes Man, and it appears tactically clueless. Prudence with NO ambition!

Others:

Sreve Tilson: appears to have been ruled out, good track record, and with knowledge of the lower leagues im sure would have done well.

Litbarski (and Crook): Interesting combination, is crook the new grant? Litbarski has the playing carrear, but that isnt enough. His management record is decent, but australia and the far east are a different kettle of fish to the championship! Jury Out

Hareide: Good track record, and ex Norwich, could certainly be the international manager. (please not steve staunton!). Again would be an interesting appointment, but do we need someone with english management experience. I fear a manager without the englisk experience could end in disaster.

Sacked Leicester boss Martin Allen and Charlton number two Phil Parkinson have been interviewed for the vacant manager''s job at Norwich. (Mirror)

As I said before my money actually is Martin Allen!

Some managers without UK experience do very well e.g Wenger, Jose M, Benitez so its a difficult call. I''m sure the board will agonise over the appointment as they don''t want to get it wrong and Andrew Turner has said they won''t penny pinch on the appointment. I just hope they won''t penny pinch n getting new players in as we need a minimum of 2 more!!

My favourits are Aage Hareide.

                         Libbarski and Crook

                         Martin Allen

           and no.1 Paul Jewell

I hope that although in public the board welcome Duffy''s application, perhaps that is just a P.R. statement for Duffy. I can''t see them appointing him as his track record suggests he specialises in getting clubs relegated

i think if they appoint duffy (which they surely cant).. they would be uproar and a sure demonstration to follow

it now looks like Allen and Parkinson are in pole position, with hareide slightly behind... tbh although everyone would clearly love jewell, it wouldnt be a disasester if it was one of these three
