Huddy 0 Posted October 23, 2007 He is Peter Grant mark two. His choices are unbelievable. Why he insists on playing two targetmen up front i dont know, and to leave out Hartson when doing this is ridiculous. Hartsons 1 month loan is probably costing us 50k, yet duffers wont play him despite his preffered 2 targetman approach even though he''s ineligible on saturday. So its not a case of resting him. I said earlier he should be on the bench, but not to accomodate no goal brown! Why dont we play the big man little man combination, we have last years league top scorer sitting on the bench, with this new signing and the person who helped keep us up last season, yet no goals is recalled! He''s got the centre midfield right in my opinion at least, spillane was harshly dropped by grant and is better than Jarvis.Chadwick instead of Croft? interersting, croft does lack end prouduct but does usually liven things up and chadwick (yes, i know he''s had inury''s) has done nothing when he''s played. Mister Chops 7 Posted October 23, 2007 Or could it be...Cureton''s still not fully fit and might get 20 minutes at the endHartson''s not match fit and is burnt out from Saturday, but will get 20 minutes at the endAgree about Spillane, hope he has a blinder and nails down his place. And I hope Chris Brown scores tonight and gets this "no goal" monkey off his back. Huddy 0 Posted October 23, 2007 UmmmI''m not gloating, but it seems my earlier fears have been realised. Of course its not just down to Brown and Chadwick playing, but the inconsistencies of selection and his duff tactics cant have helped at all! No goal brown will probably score tonight now, a nice consolation in a 6-1 defeat!
Mister Chops 7 Posted October 23, 2007 Let''s hope it''s a Robert Rosario-style 35 yard volley that wins goal of the season...Yeah, I been drinking. Totally agree about the changes not helping. I''d be interested to see how many times this season we''ve played the same team in consecutive games - I''d guess once. If even the managers don''t know who the best eleven is, what hope have we got?
