First Jedi 0 Posted October 11, 2007 I mean - who would be the man that would cause you to tattoo "Cluck was right!" on your arm, have you carve your season ticket up and destroy all your City weblinks from your favourites?Personally I''d have to say Robson as tops. Warnock and Hoddle would be close behind...

Huddy 0 Posted October 11, 2007 Jim Duffy would just have cheap option, no ambition written all over it. Another one of the favourites Dion Dublin would casue me mental distress, an influentiual player does not always make a good manager, he is too close to the current players and doesnt even have coaching experience..I would also rather we did have somone with a management track record, after the Grant disaster i''d worry about assistant types and so Ian Crook and Mark bowen i wouldnt want, although the latter may be good to come into an assistant/coaching role. whoareyou? 0 Posted October 11, 2007 1. Joe Royle.2. Ian Crook would be an even bigger risk than Grant was and look what happened to him.3. Steve Bruce
norfolkchance1 0 Posted October 11, 2007 Platt, Pearce, Waddle, Bassett, Souness, Roeder, Hoddle, Sammy Lee (if sacked by Bolton),Any untried ex player, Jim Duffy, Brian Hamilton, Ron Atkinson, Any of the above options I would not be happy about.

Unlucky Fried Kitten 0 Posted October 11, 2007 Am I alone in being not too keen on Ian Crook? Yes he was a great player for City, but great players often don''t make great managers (Bryan Robson and Bobby Charlton are two good examples of this fact). We shouldn''t allow sentiment to cloud the issue.

E I E I E I O 0 Posted October 11, 2007 Anyone bar Paul Jewell. I put Delia and MWJ top of my not wanted list as until they move on or reduce there holding nothing will change!I am getting seriously worried about the appointment due to the usual crap noises coning from the club. We are not going to hurry "why bloody not" A great candidate is available who will be a serious sign of intent "Jewell". There is a list of high calibre candidates "We heard that last time" None were high calibre. We are drawing up a list of requirements for a new manager "Can you work with crap players and no money to improve them" we have seen the results of there lists for years! Christ show some ambition for once and go all out for Jewell. I for one will accept nothing less, I just cant see this happening without a change at the top though!Step forward the Turners or Cullum!!

Alex Moss 2,165 Posted October 11, 2007 Robson, Roeder, and I hate to say it but either Crook or Bowen...Proven managers only please. Not sure about Royle, and am on the fence about Hoddle or Bruce.

Ivana_rubyatitz 6 Posted October 11, 2007 Anybody inexperienced - we need a manager who knows what it is like to work on limited resources at this level and in this country. While I idolised the likes of Crook and Bowen as a youngster, and Dion is a great pro now, none has the required experience for me. Also, Hoddle, Keegan et al are not only wildly unrealistic but I dont think they can cut it on a limited budget and with players who are less technically gifted than in the Prem. He got shot as a Binner - sorry, a traitor. I don''t think he actually called our brave boys "BRA WEARING NANCY BOY LONDON TYPE KNOWALL ARMY", but I''m sure he would have done if he''d thought of it.
