doing half decent job at smaller club in burnley, got them from relegation candidates to regular champ midtable side

he obv had one or two poor signings but he had other good ones like gray, akinbiyi etc..

im suprised his name isnt at least linked with the job

Not a bad shout.  Sunderland was a bit of a failure, but decent evidence that managerial partnerships don''t work.  Maybe that particular job was a bit too much too soon for him (potential warning here ref. Paul Ince).

Has got Burnley playing decent football.

I certainly wouldnt be disappointed if he was the new boss.  Probably not high profile enough to please some of the unrealistic people on this site.

Ade Akinbiyi was interviewed in 4-4-2 magazine a few months back.. he has a better goals to games ration than any other striker outside the premiership apparently... he also averages a goal every 3 games...

Crap player? or just not with us at the right time?
