Doncaster needs to go..!

Recommended Posts

Why are we paying for a CEO who is presiding over a Football Club failing, massively in debt, in the relegation zone and providing little hope for the future...in any other business he would have gone...!

Here, here. The smugness and arrogance of mugging us off as gullable fools really gets my goat.

I think he needs to go because he is just plain irritating. Let the directors speak for themselves and spend Doncaster''s salary on something more useful such as another ladies toilet in the Barclay, so women don''t have to queue.

Name me a Championship club who is not in debt then - Your posting is cotradictory - I have already mentioned the debt problem but to add to that are you suggesting then that we go out and buy more better experienced and pricey players therefore putting us more in debt - the relegation zone surely has got to be the fault of the manager and players (I am baffled as to why you believe this is Doncasters fault) - instead of just putting a two liner posting as to why everything is Doncasters fault why dont you also include a scenario which can fix the problem.  Probably find that it is much harder than you think.

I agree with Bomber. I think we should give that nice Mr Don''tcaster more time to prove himself. I think it outraegeous that people on here are so nasty to him. What has he done to provoke such anger, I am mystified.

The solution you may find is easier than you think -

" Dear Mr Doncaster, I hearby give notice for the termination of your contract. Thank you for you good work in the taking Norwich to the lowest position the club has seen in recent times. "

" Dear Mr Grant, I hearby give notice for the termination of your contract. Thank you for your good work in taking the Norwich to the lowest position the club has seen in recent times. "

Problem solved...also plse refer to posting "Youth, Scouting and Investment in Players..."

You can hardly blame the Chief Exec directly for day to day failings on the pitch.

What the Board is culpable of is what I would regard as extremely poor fianncial management of the club''s assests which have contributed to a lack of long term funds.

For example we have made 8.2M on transfers in the last 3 years

Yes we have accumulated signing on fees with 3 frees this summer and one in Jan, and signing on fees for contract renewals but this cannot amount to more than 1.5M in that period.  The agents fees were considerable (0.5M) 2 years ago but have been brought down to about 0.15 M per year last year

Our wage bill at 7.4M and falling sharply (remember Earnie was on about 13K a week, Thorne 8K and Colin 7.25K plus McVeigh, Etuhu, Safri on pretty high wages as well are still in the latest accounts)  Our wage bill for this season will be in the bottom half of our league.  Dublin and Huckerby are two biggest curent earners won''t be around too much longer which will be another big wedge saved for next season.

We have had 14M in parachute payments as well as 18M in TV Money in our Premiership season

.

We have done everything possible on the football side to make money but its other expenses that have shafted us:

When the Jarrold Stand was being constructed the sale of land including the hotel was supposed to pay for it.  It clearly did not as the vast secuitisation loan of 15M was taken out, this and other loans eat up 1.57M/year to service.  Why then have further loans of more than 5M been taken out to pay for other land issues which may make us some money in the future ie in 3 or so years time when planning permission is granted and building starts???????

Why did the Jarrolds stand cost about 9M and Norwich Community Stand approaching 6M I believe both  massively over budget?????I very much agreed with the Jarrolds stand which should in fact have been bigger, building a separate expensive stand is not too bright on the face of it.

Delia''s various catering was supposed to make us a lot of money and the year before last we made 0.4M or so profit on this as well.

Share issues have made the club a fair amount perhaps another 2.5M over 3 years.

Where has the money gone, I can''t understand it and nor can the rest of the fans.

This as well as chronic mishandling of the Worthington situation is why the whole Board apart from the Tuners must go right now.

Macattack it is that easy because sacking the board and the manager always works.  Do you know that I can''t think of any clubs that have been doing badly, sacked the manager and then not done well.It is not the sacking that is the important bit, instead it is finding the appropriate replacements.

Do our executives actually have to queue as well then?

Disgraceful I call it. So much for socialism.

Whatever next!

As for the ladies having to line up, whatever happened to that sister who crashed through the glass ceiling? Forgot about the other sistren did she? Very quiet these days - and resting on her self-awarded laurels'' one imagines.

As long as Deals no Deals is sat on the thrones with ''Ban the smoking ban!'' Micky Wynne, and resting their goin'' nowhere ''plates of meat'' on obedient ''Serf Roger the footstool'' whilst the rest of the servants are apathetically stirring the rich stew of prudence in the bowels of the scullery. Donny Boy will be strutting his transparent stuff and MBA skills around Carra.

If the board have a masseeeeve re-shuffle - or a successful ''coup''...I think our Chief Exec will be gone. Those who have intentions, will not want him around as a controlling influence........ allegedly.[8-|]

Mello, without a doubt you are the best poster on this board.....always spot on regarding the other board - YOU should be doing that PR stuff at CR, much more humour and insight than the lot of them put together, although the Muppet show DID give you a run for your money.

Classic stuff, keep it coming.....Serf Roger the footstool......wonderful.
