[quote user="Old Boy"]What a depressing bunch of last-gaspers (apart from Costacurta that is).

If your Manager does depart there could be other candidates in the frame.  A quick round up of championship boards reveals the following unrest among some fans:

Sheffield United fans want Robson out

Burnley fans want Cotterill out

Coventry possibly facing administration this week (points deduction?)

Palace fans want Taylor out

Preston fans want Simmo out

Those not mentioned apparently happy with their Manager at this time.

Would take Simpson, Cotterill or Dowie any day (not that any of them would look twice at us under the current state of affairs).

I find it astonishing that the same old names keep coming up for these jobs despite the track record of most of them being filled with the words ''failed at'' on their managerial CVs although in a perverse kind of way I suppose I find it reassuring that our board isn''t the only one who seems totally taken in by the wrong candidate at interview. What on earth, for example, made Sheffield United go for that perennial managerial failure Robson especially when the Blades fans vehemently protested against him when he appeared to be the likely appointment. Still, the board knows best (sound familiar)? How do these people talk themselves into these jobs? Mind you, that leads on to another worrying point. Considering that most chairpersons and directors of fotball clubs are successful business people it makes you wonder about the state of their various businesses.

[quote user="Old Boy"]I''d take the Vogon (Ian Dowie), glassy eyes and all, if he bails out of Cov.

Slight problem with Mr Dowie (if Palace fans are right): they claim he''s taking eight weeks off over Christmas to take part in Celebrity Love Island in the Bahamas.  As you do.....................
