tim howard? 0 Posted October 2, 2007 dosent seem to look up to much at the moment no goals for a while and hasent played very well for us i know he is not getting great service but im starting to think last season was a bit of a fluke.
Dicky 0 Posted October 2, 2007 What about the other seasons where he scored hatfuls of goals?
GJP 79 Posted October 2, 2007 Not a good performance from him tonight, you could tell he knew it''d be his number up when Martin was coming on. Bit of a "nearly man" at the moment is Cureton. He nearly gets there but never quite does actually get there.Would expect Martin to start the next game alongside Dublin.
stevemeadscanaries 0 Posted October 2, 2007 think it may be down to the manager slagging him off in the press after the carling cup game.he hasnt looked interested since
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted October 3, 2007
think it may be down to the manager slagging him off in the press after the carling cup game.he hasnt looked interested since
The ''fizz'' certainly seems to have left him since Grant subbed him when on a hat trick twice and critisized his play. Who knows, he certainly hasnt been missing loads of chances as the currejnt side doesnt create chances.

still holding out for new heroes 0 Posted October 3, 2007
What about the other seasons where he scored hatfuls of goals?
yes but he wasn''t 32/33 then was he, last night he reminded me of Tony Cottee, a good finisher with nothing else to offer. Quite frankly last night it was obvious how much we miss Earnie up front, the fact that the only striker we have who can create chances for himself has barely featured this season because he ate a couple of pies in the summer is another reason why Grant needs the boot. In 5 minutes Chris Martin showed more ability than Cureton had in 5 games.
ricardo 7,339 Posted October 3, 2007 For £800k we were done.Would have been a decent back up for Earnie at about half that price.
blacko 0 Posted October 3, 2007 He did his knee in the Sheffield Wednesday game and was doubtful for Scunthorpe having not trained over the weekend. He also has had no service. Give him a break.

Syteanric 1 Posted October 3, 2007

Deja vu - Peter Thorne
ha ha ha, No service......... no goals, simple
he got plenty of service from Neon Dion last night... would of helped if Cureton actually knew how to run onto a flickjas :)
Mason 47 1,373 Posted October 3, 2007 Cureton scores two and doesnt pass it... I think yeah he should have passed it but the public hairdrier he got was uncalled for. When Huckerby was through against Scunthorpe last night, he went for it. However, if he had looked a bit to the right he would have seen Dion in acres of spaces and it would have been a tap-in. Does Grant dare slag Huckerby off in this situation? Apparently not.

Give him the ball in the box, in a way he can use it and he will.
