lucky green trainers 0 Posted September 22, 2007 we''ve suffered more at NCFC than ipswich have, and thats despite them having sheepshankers as a chairman. ipswich went into administration after their prem jolly, and are saddled with a debt twice as big as ours, but long-suffering town fans can at least watch pass and move football at portaloo rd. as we''ve seen from their forays at carra rd, they pass the ball attractively, and although they are in some kind of decline, they still give fair value to their fans more often than not.meanwhile, we''re relegated and with finances prudently under control aka charlton model (although they''ve spent big when going down), we''re treated to dross football ever since. this is our 3rd season of mediocrity. watching city play has become a chore - we''ve suffered low after low, yet todays performance against wolves seems even below that against burnley last season that saw the end of worthy. not only did we have another tame no show, 2 players were sent off in disgrace. we''re a club in crisis - yet again, when we shouldn''t be. BCanary 0 Posted September 22, 2007 And with Huckerby saying this is the worst team he has ever played in the wheels have well and truly fallen off. The club is falling apart - what do we do now? Where has the money gone? Who can replace Grant? Who can replace the board??
DONT REMEMBER YOUR TENURE AS ENGLAND MANAGER 0 Posted September 22, 2007
we''ve suffered more at NCFC than ipswich have, and thats despite them having sheepshankers as a chairman. ipswich went into administration after their prem jolly, and are saddled with a debt twice as big as ours, but long-suffering town fans can at least watch pass and move football at portaloo rd. as we''ve seen from their forays at carra rd, they pass the ball attractively, and although they are in some kind of decline, they still give fair value to their fans more often than not.meanwhile, we''re relegated and with finances prudently under control aka charlton model (although they''ve spent big when going down), we''re treated to dross football ever since. this is our 3rd season of mediocrity. watching city play has become a chore - we''ve suffered low after low, yet todays performance against wolves seems even below that against burnley last season that saw the end of worthy. not only did we have another tame no show, 2 players were sent off in disgrace. we''re a club in crisis - yet again, when we shouldn''t be.
Totally agree. The football for the last three years has been so static, no movement or idea. They have coped on much less and yet seem twice the side. This tells me that it aint rocket science and things need to change very quickly, Why are the board so naive, i mean lack of a centre half, no can''t say it as i am writing this in every post so far. AAAGGGGHHHHHHH!!!
ZLF 147 Posted September 22, 2007 No team unity which the manager has failed to create, too defensive formation (incl today) which means we do not look like scoring goals, and constantly changing selections meaning no partnerships are built. This is all the managers role - not the boards.Scunthorpe, Bristol city have less able squads than us by play with passion, understanding of each others roles and responsibilities so are better as a team than the squad looks - we are in reverse - less than the sum of the parts. We have the squad and ability to succeed - but neither the direction from the management nor will to win to make it happen. Cluck 0 Posted September 22, 2007 What the hell have Ipswich got to do with it? Bloody good luck to them if they can overcome such hardship and still make the progress our shambles of a club can only dream about.Whingeing about it won''t help matters....and for all of those who threw their knickers in the air at the merest hint of so called "negativity" a few weeks back......maybe you can now understand what the realists were trying to tell you all along.However...you''ve made your bed and all that........ Huddy 0 Posted September 22, 2007 I''m afraid because the tractor boys have a good manager, who has worked minor miracles in assembling a good, youuthful (hint hint PG) squad on a Shoestring budget.
