Yellow Rider 0 Posted September 20, 2007 Not me who say this but PG. Sounds remarkably like his predecessor.Problem with this is:a) it assumes we win virtually all our home games (and puts tremendous pressure on to do so) b) it is indicative of a negative, defensive approach to away games which is poor value for the travelling YArmy and 90% of the time will result in defeat. If a more postive tactic is employed, no guarantee of suucess for sure but you get more entertainment and the chances of goals (and points) increases. This basic philosophy seems to escape our most recent managers.
Hairy Canary 668 Posted September 20, 2007 Quite right YR. Grant says our aim this year is automatic promotion. That means we have to win away games, not going with a defensive mind set and formation trying for a nil - nil. There again it won''t be the first time Grant has said one thing in the press and done another will it.
