Duffman 0 Posted August 29, 2007 Yes we fielded our strongest available and it was another patheticperformance , Grant is starting to make Worthington look like a goodmanager , his latest freebie Scott had to come off at half time againstRochdale because he was out of his depth , god help us.No he didnt have to come off because he was out of his depth, listen to PG''s post match comments, the guy was on his death bed but still wanted to play because we were short. Our Strongest Available team? Cureton, not a top player for us then? He can be the difference between winning and not this season so he is a major asset to us.Yes, we didnt play great BUT its a cup game and anything can and does happen so lets just be pleased we''re through. We had a patched up side who were carrying injuries (Shackell, Murray, Huckerby) so in the end it was nice to get the win.Can we please have a home tie next round? Disco Dales Tash 0 Posted August 29, 2007 As suspected, PG fielded a team who were struggling with injuries and illness. It''s a shame he had to do that, but that said some players obviously wanted to play which did affect the performance.I really don''t see us doing badly when we have a full strength team, shame now that Dublin and Shackell are now doubts for the weekend!Hopefully bolster the squad with a few sharp loanees to help us through another period of depleted squad! Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted August 29, 2007 Apparantly Murray was ill last night, which begs the question why on earth we didnt just start Chadwick and put Lappin Left Back?? Play 4-4-2.
In Gunns Hands We Trust! 0 Posted August 29, 2007 How much do city pocket from the win. Lower league teams are always talking about the purse of doing well in the Cup. Third round draw home to a so called minnow please. And 1 CB & 2 Att Mid please on your way back from the shops, and don''t spend all our money in one shop as my Mum used to say! StainesCanary 0 Posted August 29, 2007 So with Dublin n Shackell doubts we might hopefully see one of our youngsters in the back four rather than some 11th hour loan signing. Surely out youth must be more looked at now. OTBC!
