Pete Raven 276 Posted August 29, 2007 When did a City keeper last save a penalty before Marshall''s heroics last night? We know Green never did. Surely Andy Marshall wasn''t the last City keeper to save a penalty?

Pete Raven 276 Posted August 29, 2007 Ah yes, clearly my memory''s not what it used to be. Apparently Gallacher saved the first two.

Bolton 20th December 1995 - Gunny saved three and got the matchball. Martin O''Neill had walked out the previous Sunday and Paul Franklin was in charge. We were on an uncovered terrace in the corner of Burnden Park and it was bloody freezing. The tannoy played "Stop the Cavalry" and we began bouncing up and down just to keep warm. It caught on and pretty soon the whole ground was joining in. Whenever I hear that song that''s what it reminds me of.
