Starting line-up for tomorrow! And predictions...

Recommended Posts

Latest news states we will have no Huckerby, Brellier or Drury. Therefore i predict this will be the starting line-up...

                             Marshall

Otsemobor   Doherty   Shackell   Lappin

Croft   Russell   Fotheringham   Chadwick

                     Cureton   Brown

Subs: Gilks, Spillane, Brellier, Strihavka, Martin

Personall, however, I would prefer for us to with a more attacking line up at home and go 4-3-3...

I agree with the Second one, but I think interestingly maybe play spillane for chadwick, and allow Fozzy to create, as it seems to be what he wants to do?  And then Russell and Spillane could do the defensive work, allowing the over laps, which will be used a lot now!

If Brellier isn''t fit i would play Spillane in Midfield with Russell, at least he can tackle. Apart from that the team picks itself, which suggests with 4 players out our squad is far from strong enough.

Anyway i predict a 3 - 1 win with Cureton scoring first.

disagree with playing spillane.. fozzy is looking a class act and id like to see him continue, i knew the whole problem last season was a lack of a pre season! I think he''ll do really well for us!
Huckerby on the bench...
I thought this.

Fans banned from training. Huckerby has ''absolutely no chance''.

The crazy mofo will probably start him on the left.

With Semmy and Lappin as full-backs, Grant might go for 3 centre back and have the full-backs operate as wing-backs... he hinted at doing this in pre-season;

                  Marshall

         Dion   Doc   Shacks

Semmers                     Lappers

         Russers   Fozzers

               Chadders

         Cuzzers   Brozzers

Not saying he will or should, just that he might!
Hah! I like it. If Grant pulls that one out of the hat, he''ll go up a few notches in my estimation.I think we all dread Safri scoring with a 35-yard exocet, but I think we''ll win 2-0. Dave gets his first goal.

No Dublin then?

If all the injured players fail to make it then I would go;

                              Marshall

Otsemebor    Doc   Shackell Lappin

                     Spillane

             Russell        Fozzie

                     Croft

             Brown    Cureton

Subs - Gilks, Dublin, Strihavka, Martin, Chadwick

I am definitely worried about this game. It is difficult to see the Saints losing 3 on the trot, however, if we get an early goal I can see the confidence draining out of them. A sit on the fence 1 - 1 draw.

Too many unknowns in player availability - the back four we probably know, the midfield is less certain - will it be three or four?,  and the strikers look to be Brown and Cureton.I would like us to win, but I can''t see it with our ability to go missing. If we get a good start, and first goal, then I think 1-1 or 2-2. I think that with their strikers they are likely to score 2.
