BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted June 17, 2007 ..........based on 1st half performances! This is a very stark reminder of the improvements essential next season.Fortunately that was compensated by our 2nd half performances based on which we would have finished we would have finished 10th (but look who finished 4th - hush!).See tables below.OTBCCoca-Cola Championship 1st Half Performance 2006/7TeamPHomeAwayPtsWDLFAWDLFAStoke4610851591166191077.00Birmingham46111111867115121076.00Plymouth46714217131058161970.00West Brom46101032396116161869.00Southampton468132177878191668.00Derby469951497115121068.00Cardiff46101031465135131468.00Sunderland4681051511797121064.00Preston4611841755810111864.00Sheff Wed468961914514411962.00Colchester4610103165571191862.00Crystal Palace4697717114136141459.00Hull4610852012212951656.00Burnley467106151159991555.00Leicester465126151569881054.00Coventry4681141713213861654.00Wolverhampton46711515114910101853.00Luton468781720313791453.00QPR46611612124109101851.00Ipswich467971513491061251.00Barnsley4678812165513142949.00Leeds467881317213881548.00Norwich465135783911122346.00Southend4667101117481191945.00 Coca-Cola Championship 2nd Half Performance 2006/7TeamPHomeAwayPtsWDLFAWDLFASunderland46131002371148261986.00West Brom4611842815887141373.00Wolverhampton4689618171085161071.00Ipswich4611662516887181871.00Derby46117519107106171771.00Birmingham4610941912887181471.00Colchester46126530145117151968.00Southampton469861913878221766.00Preston46108521127610151865.00Norwich469682217779152361.00Crystal Palace4699516114136121561.00Stoke469104207571181559.00Burnley4681142012315581159.00QPR4687819177511132157.00Plymouth46115719134712111757.00Sheff Wed4641271922887212156.00Cardiff46810519124109112156.00Barnsley4696815134910122754.00Leicester46611611165711152351.00Leeds4689614134613112751.00Hull46571113206116131951.00Coventry46611613125612112150.00Southend4667101821410992347.00Luton46698162021011112743.
canary cherub 1 Posted June 17, 2007 Interesting Bly, especially given that Earnie was out of action for most of the second half.I wonder if it was Jim Duffy''s arrival that helped to turn the corner? He brought experience and he also takes care of a lot of the office-based side of management, so that Peter Grant can get on and manage in the way he wants to. Duffy is Grant''s best signing so far imo.
