salp 0 Posted June 11, 2007 got my ticket today (and in my seasonticket seat too, i''m pleased to say)but, who thinks a couple of their players may be ''rested'' for the game?
Jim Smith 2,610 Posted June 11, 2007 Don''t know and don''t care. i hope nobody turns up for this friendly against an odious club who should be in the same division as us anyway. Anyone getting excited about playing the likes of west ham just contributes to the contuation of the the "little old norwich" attitude. Only way you would catch me at this game is if we had signed lots of big name new players and I was extremely bored that day!
hogesar 10,762 Posted June 11, 2007 Someone in a happy mood, jim! I will be going, but have to wait till it goes on sale to members, or has it already? =-S
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted June 11, 2007 couldn''t care less. I do not want to spend any money watching a side that through dubious means got out of being relegated last season when we would have been given a points deduction under similar circumstances... salp 0 Posted June 11, 2007 jim smithwhy are they ''odious'' ? they have done nothing more than many other clubs get away with all the time.and i resent the implication that i subscribe to a ''little old norwich attitude'' when i''m supporting my local team year in year out. you obviously have more interest in ''old'' values rather than watching a live footie game on your doorstephave a good evening in tesco''s that evening. salp 0 Posted June 11, 2007 cjfwho care''s who we are playing - it''s a real-live footie match isn''t it? or are you a radio/tv couch supporter?or... have you been ''supporting'' the england cricket team in all their ''glory'' against the windies?

I don''t want to go and watch those ***** on principal... West Ham will be the most hated team around next season, the deserved booing of Trevor Brooking at the England U21 match is just a start. Pyro Pete 2,353 Posted June 12, 2007 Shame we aren''t playing a pre-season friendly against one of the bigger Premiership club. I always thought there should be at least one big fixture in pre-season to drum up interest for the new season. West Ham have no appeal at all.

If it was part of the Cashton deal, then I would think it would''ve taken place last summer instead.
Jim Smith 2,610 Posted June 12, 2007 I have little interest in a pre-season game against a side I dislike and have seen countless times before thats all. I am not going to get excited about us playing them as its basically akin to us having a friendly against Coventry. If you want to go along then fair enough and I hope you enjoy it. I will go to Holland for one of the pre-season games as its a good excuse for a few days away but apart from that i will be giving the friendlies a miss this year as they are always highly dull! salp 0 Posted June 12, 2007 so you wouldn''t go to any game where you hate the opposition? not even dipswitch?you can''t bear to go to many footie matches then...
Dizzy Rascal 0 Posted June 12, 2007 "you obviously have more interest in ''old'' values"If having old values entails wearing clothes and not having embarrassing avatar photos of oneself semi-naked (or more, God forbid!) on an internet forum, then I''m as old-fashioned as that 111-year-old bloke on the tele last week. Mello Yello 2,572 Posted June 12, 2007 Do David James, Joe Cole, Trevor Brooking and Geoff Hurst still play for them?
gunnsdoppellganger 0 Posted June 12, 2007 ''the deserved booing of Trevor Brooking at the England U21 match is just a start''I think ''deserved'' is a bit harsh.Just what has a man who represented the country with absolute dedication and attitude done that is so offensive to the sensibilities of people, works for the club that employs Tevez? The reason West Ham are still in the premiership is because they ended the season with more points than those below them. Simple. Like it or not that is it, week in week out teams are affected by supposed cheating and most often in the premiership. They are all at it and no one team is worse than any other as they will all take it when they can. Some like Man U who expect success and bully everyone when the game goes against them, Arsenal and Chelsea who ''didn''t see it''when their players dive all over the pitch but remonstrate when others do it to them. The only manager who appeared to have any sense of decency got sacked by Man City, and Pearce was another fine servant to the England badge. There are far worse things that happen in football all the time to get so excited by what West Ham ''supposedly'' (and it has not been proven) did last season regarding 1 player who was part of a team that again got more points than anyone else. For fans who call themselves England supporters to boo a servant of our country both on and off the pitch is shameful and pathetic. If we could put 11 players in a shirt that had the commitment of Brooking in his day instead of the half witted money grabbing prima donnas that wear it now we may be in a better position.Rant over but sometimes you just have to say what you think and CJF no offense intended and like me you have a right to an opinion and every right to voice it, I just think it is a shame that this happens when there is serious crap going on in the world.
