blahblahblah 2 Posted June 14, 2007 Just thought I''d link this, as there have been rumours that Derby had made a bid. link here Davies apparently sees Earnshaw as the ideal strike partner for SteveHoward but rumours of a £5m bid are wide of the mark according to Grant.“At this moment in time we have received no enquiries concerning Earnshaw and I''m delighted about that,” said Grant.“Aseverybody knows everybody has their price - even players likeRonaldinho have their price. But by the same token if a club comes inand offers £10m but Earnie says he does not want to go then that wouldbe the end of the matter.“The most important thing about Robert is that he is a Norwich City player.”

Michael Starr 571 Posted June 14, 2007 I love this bit...“As everybody knows, everybody has their price - even players likeRonaldinho have their price. But by the same token if a club comes inand offers £10m but Earnie says he does not want to go then that wouldbe the end of the matter."We all know that if a club offered 10m for Earnie, he''d be gone before the ink dried whether Earnie wanted it or not. 7rew 0 Posted June 14, 2007 This just means I wouldn''t expect him to move for at least another 2weeks, If he moves tomorrow Grant would look very stupid. However, a bid may come in tomorrow, you never know.Personally I think that this is to try and scare other clubs into coming in big or not coming in at all. While there is the usual everybody''s got his price thing, at least this time I won''t have to bring up Ronaldinho myself. blahblahblah 2 Posted June 14, 2007
NCFC never go public on transfer activity.
From the article :
Derby boss Billy Davies is an admirer of the 26-year-old and will sitdown later this week with new Rams chief executive Trevor Birch toformulate a transfer strategy.
This suggests to me that they haven''t made a bid yet. Grant knows that we don''t have to sell, and as has been mentioned, is probably attempting to encourage the best price for his man should a bid come in.
