Gentleman Jim 0 Posted May 8, 2007 ...... PG would like to get his summer signings under way within next seven days, according to his Radio Norfolk''s interview. It would be interesting to see which Championship Club starts the ball rolling (no pun intended) with signing a player of some quality, say for example £200,000 plus .I think Birmingham started first last year, they really pushed the boat out early on and promptly gained promotion. Then who this year ? Not us I fear, perhaps again one of the "wealthy" Premiership demoted clubs, aiming to emulate Birmingham maybe ?Should prove to be a very interesting close season this year. Evil Monkey 52 Posted May 8, 2007 Surely not, I thought everyone was on their holidays or busy assessing their squads until at least July? Sorry, cheap shot at a departed manager... [:P]I''d love it if he could get someone in that quickly and give them the time to settle into the area and the team right from the start of pre-season! Would make a nice change! ZLF 334 Posted May 21, 2007 A mixed pair - Iwelumo is a journey man but Varney is a hot prospect. As Hasselbaink has already gone and Darren Bent will also inevitably leave they need strikers for next season.
