BRAVEHEART 0 Posted April 28, 2007 When you look at Peter Grants first season here at Norwich he''s had some ups and downs in terms of results. He''s made his own signings Chris Brown, Simon Lappin, Mark Fotheringham, Luke Chadwick. This is what I think of his signingLappin - goodFotheringham - uncertainChadwick - uncertainBrown - uncertainoverall - 1 out of 4 signings have been good but the other 4 I think can get better with time. This is what I think of his loansMarshall - good maybe sign him as a permanent, the fact that he comes from Celtic to me says alot so we should try and sign himWarner - averageoverall 2 out of 2 of his loans have been fairly goodBut more importantly is where we are in the Championship table we are 15th and that is very disappointing and a team such as Norwich should be at least in the top half and trying to get into the play-offs, but having said that I''m willing to let Grant off due to the fact that he hasn''t had a full season in charge at Norwich and I think he will need 2 more seasons just to see how he does. He needs time so be paitient. In terms of results could of done better but certain games he just got it wrong. here''s a review of Norwich City FC and Peter Grant in terms of results: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Date Opponent H/A Result Sat Aug 5 Leeds United A 1-0 L Tue Aug 8 Preston H 2-0 W Sat Aug 12 Luton Town H 3-2 WSat Aug 19 Derby County A 0-0 D Sat Aug 26 Barnsley H 5-1 W Sat Sep 9 Coventry City A 3-0 LTOTAL POINTS = 10/18 PTSABOVE AVERAGE ------------------------------------------------------Tue Sep 12 Southend Utd A 3-3 D Sat Sep 16 Crystal Palace H 0-1 L Tue Sep 19 Rotherham A 2-4 WSat Sep 23 Plymouth Argyle A 3-1 L Sun Oct 1 Burnley H 1-4 LSat Oct 14 QPR A 3-3 WTOTAL POINTS 7/18BELOW AVERAGE------------------------------------------------------Tue Oct 17 Birmingham City A 0-1 W Sat Oct 21 Cardiff City H 1-0 WSat Oct 28 Stoke City A 5-0 LTue Oct 31 Colchester United H 1-1 DSat Nov 4 Sunderland H 1-0 W Sat Nov 11 West Brom A 0-1 WTOTAL POINTS 11/18GOOD------------------------------------------------------Sun Nov 19 Ipswich Town A 3-1 L Sat Nov 25 Hull City H 1-1 DTue Nov 28 Leicester City H 3-1 WSat Dec 2 Sunderland A 1-0 LSat Dec 9 Sheff Wed H 1-2 L Sat Dec 16 Southampton A 2-1 LTOTAL POINTS 6/18BELOW AVERAGE------------------------------------------------------Sat Dec 23 Wolves A 2-2 DTue Dec 26 Southend Utd H 0-0 DSat Dec 30 QPR H 1-0 WMon Jan 1 Crystal Palace A 3-1 LSat Jan 13 Plymouth Argyle H 1-3 LTue Jan 30 Wolves H 0-1 LTOTAL POINTS 5/18POOR ------------------------------------------------------Sat Feb 3 Leeds United H 2-1 W Tue Feb 13 Blackpool H 3-2 WTue Feb 20 Preston A 2-1 LSat Feb 24 Coventry City H 1-1 DTue Feb 27 Luton Town A 2-3 WSat Mar 3 Barnsley A 1-3 WTOTAL POINTS 11/18GOOD------------------------------------------------------Tue Mar 6 Derby H 1-2 LSat Mar 10 Cardiff City A 1-0 LTue Mar 13 Birmingham City H 1-0 WSat Mar 17 Stoke City H 1-0 WSat Mar 31 Colchester United A 3-0 L TOTAL POINTS 9/18AVERAGE ------------------------------------------------------Mon Apr 9 West Brom H 1-2 L Sat Apr 14 Leicester City A 1-2 W Tue Apr 17 Burnley A 3-0 L Sun Apr 22 Ipswich Town H 1-1 DSat Apr 28 Southampton H Sun May 6 Sheff Wed A -------------------------------------------------------PETER GRANTTOTAL POINTS FOR SEASON 06/07 = 57/108AVERAGE------------------------------------------------------- NORWICH CITY MAXIMUM POINTS FOR SEASON 06-07 = 54/144BELOW AVERAGE -------------------------------------------------------

EadiesRight Foot 0 Posted April 29, 2007 He hasnt had one FULL season yet. I think the best judge is pre season, what signings he has made, what tactical changes, and see how we go from there. There is a cart load of horse poo at this club that he has to get rid of (Thorne, MLJ, McVeigh, Henderson, Gallacher, maybe Croft or else why would he have got Chadwick). When we get those off the wage bill, and bring new players in, hopefully we will have a better idea. I still have massive doubts over Chris Brown though, Lappin + Fozzy havent exactly sparkled throughout, and Warners not that good, so the jury is out for me in terms of GRants judgement of players. Would love to see some proper quality brought in here , but it depends on how much is going to be released for this. One thing is for sure, there will definitely be some changes over the summer.
