Iwan is God 0 Posted May 6, 2007 Firstly, congratulations to Sunderland on winning the Championship. On Sky Sports News they have just been talking about Sunderland''s fanatical supporters going back to the big time. Is it just me who can see they are fair weather fans? When things are going wrong on the pitch their ''fanatical fan base'' seems somewhat depleated! Oh well, the premiership is full of plastic!

Bovril 264 Posted May 7, 2007 to be honest, sunderland are one of the better supporters in the game, and their stadium is fantastic..... but yeah i can see where youre coming from, they were averaging around 23-4,000 fans at the start of the season and then all of a sudden getting 30/40+, 000 for other games.... but you only have to look at their away attendances to see the real fans like any other club
