St.John Cooper 0 Posted February 27, 2007 What 11 players who would you put out if you had the choice of anyone who has played for us I would have Kevin Keelan, Mark Bowen, Ian Culverhouse, Dave Watson, Steve Bruce, Ruel Fox, Ian Crook, Martin O''Neil, Martin Peters, Terry Allcock, and Chris Sutton. Canary02 0 Posted February 28, 2007
You just know that everyone who hasn''t put Kevin Keelan in their fave teams clearly never saw him play!
Definitely why I didn''t put him in! I only started in 84 so never saw him or Martin Peters etc. You can only pick those you''ve seen, and message board attendees average ages are probably lower than mine I''d guess! From what I hear though he was superb.
Carlos Valderrama 0 Posted February 28, 2007 Heres mine....WoodsMills Newsome Bruce BowenPhillips Parker Phelan EadieDrinkell RobinsManager - Nigel Worthington (Before it went pear shaped!!)Not necessarily the best players in their positions, simply some of my favourites, and those who have started at and gone on to achieve great things since. And the manager, it is simply because we won the league under him and that season was probably my favourite.

Its ''a bit of fun''!
I keep trying to do mine perm but it''s too hard, I keep changing it, that''s the problem with being an older fan! Too many players to choose from!I was interested in your team because although I was trying to fit Martin O''Neill into my midfield he seems a strange choice for manager. Did you choose him because of what he could have done here?

macdougalls perm 0 Posted February 28, 2007 Yes, NN, just thought that he (now) would be able to forge a cracking team from those players imo, which is a bit of a contradiction cos I didn''t put Peters in because of the age that he already was when he came here[:)]. Bit unfair? I was also agonising over the strikers, because we have had some real heroes imo, but went with Macdougall and Boyer cos they were the ones that I remember pretending to be as a kid and wetting my pants going to see play. Anyway, I digress......
