Forget Loanees.........there won't be any!.

Recommended Posts

Excuses, excuses and excuses. Thats all we ever get from the club and PG regarding loan players, and I quote Grant from todays Pink UN:

Grant can make a move in the loan market - but is expecting problems.

"It keeps changing every time," he said. "Every time you say we will try and put this part of the jigsaw together it seems to be change. We have a few other boys injured as well, it is not just the goalkeeper.

"We will make a few phone calls today but unfortunately there are a lot of people with a lot of games over the next few weeks, that''s the biggest problem. I understand that because we are in the same position ourselves."

I''ll tell you why there won''t be any loanees...........no cash, thats why. On Sky Sports News daily, many clubs are loaning out/in players. Only City.............again, are failing its fans....................again.

Just like the transfer window, the same old cr*p replies come forth. Wheras in truth I reckon we''re flat broke and busted!.

Yes, I''m still backng Grant, its a pity the Board aren''t!.

Wait and see Wizard. I''m pretty sure Granty will get a couple of loanees in.

As to the question "are we broke". No I don''t think we are and Granty has not said anywhere that his attempts to get someone in are constrained by cash considerations.

If you have a pair of boots and can manage playing two games a week then Granty may just give you a run out!!!

Have you and Cluck kissed and made up yet???

The thing is Wiz, we had all of this in the transfer window with people (not neccesarily you) saying ''We won''t sign anybody'' and we did, five of them. Only three permenants but a far cry from no one. The reponse to all of this was ''wait and see first before making judgement'' We waited, we saw and we were then and only then able to judge. What we discovered was that we did sign players. What we discovered was that making judgement before the event has run it''s course is unwise.

But only a few weeks later, we are here all over again. You in this case saying that we won''t sign anybody before the window shuts.

You might be totally right and we may fail here. Equally, we may sign a couple of good players for the rest of the season but I''m not going to make a bold statement like I know the answer to this and if football has taught you/us anything, I would have hoped it would have been not to leave the theatre before the fat lady has sung. She might just sit on you for doing it.

Yellow Rages:

To be fair to me mate, I always said ''No signings..........of any note''..................and I still stand by that.

Smudger:

I haven''t kissed and made up with anyone my friend, I have not changed my mind on Delia or the board...........I still want them out.

Okay,  so virtually a week on, and still no new faces. I see from today''s Pink Un article, that Grant seems to be tying to ''blag it out'' with young Martin filling the striker role this week.

So no new striker then!.

And with DD injured, you would have thought that a central defender would be a priority, wouldn''t you?.

Our squad is dangerously thin!.

Can Brown, Thorne, Doc, WLYP and Croft really keep this side up?, do I really need to answer that?.

We need loanees....................................but we won''t be getting them!

Still Delia''s serves nice food................................I believe!.
