Herb 0 Posted February 4, 2007 If Dublin is up for another season then on the evidence of this season so far he''d certainly do a job for us.He has been our man of the match in virtually every game he''s played imo, and shows an enthusiasm and fire for the game that seems lacking in a lot of his teammates. We''d be trading places with Leeds at the bottom without him, no doubt about it. follow the boys in yellow 0 Posted February 4, 2007 Personally I think its a bit too early to say who should be player of the season because there are still quite a few games. But would have to agree with you that so far he must be one of the contenders partly through default as very few players have played to their cability. Would love Dion to be given another year. I think I read somewhere that he doesn''t train until Thursdays in which case it would be a great opportunity to put him in as player coach. Any thoughts on that? Now that Earnshaw''s injury has unluckily taken him out of the limelight Dublin must be an absolute shoo-in for '' Player of the Season '' this time round

Delias Buns 0 Posted February 4, 2007 ncfc1 how can you say that Dion being the player of the season represents us being a por side? He is one of the most experienced players in the game, he''s made tackles to save a 1-0 lead and hes scored goals to put us into 1-0 leads. Is that such a bad thing?Didnt think so. Rasputin was a C... 0 Posted February 4, 2007 I think that this year the player of the season will be out of Dublin, Hucks, Earnshaw, Collin and perhaps Croft. The rest of the squad have shown a destinct lack of interest for the majority of the season which is why we are where we are. What I do know is Doherty won''t be winning in for a second time. JC 0 Posted February 5, 2007 I will hold my hands up and say, like most I was shocked when he first played, he looked like an old man. But the question to ask yourselves now is, where would the club be this season without him?Dion is a legend.[quote user="sdldjl05"]PLAYER OF THE SEASON ? ricardo 8,034 Posted February 5, 2007 A great Pro. We all thought he was too old when Worthy signed him but worth every penny for his influence alone. I would love to see him get another contract if only as an example to the younger players of how to conduct yourself as a player.
