CambridgeCanary 0 Posted February 8, 2007 Peter Grant has decided to move MLJ on in the summer. Whether this an example of more dead wood clearing or of the compassionate approach to a very unlucky player who needs a fresh start is a matter of opinion but what is clear is that Grant is shaping the team with purpose and courage.I am sorry that MLJ had the horrendous problems he has had. I do feel that the fans are generally negative towards him and a move with no expectations or history is best. At 31, he is not the3 future of NCFC. It does mean Grant is freeing more wages to out towards his new squad. The squad and the club is changingI am beginning to feel that the 2007/8 season could be very interesting. djc 0 Posted February 8, 2007 It must be companssionate approach, as if it were clearing deadwood he should have been paid off by now. Harsh comment by me? Not really. Its not like he is gonna make much of an impact for us between now and the end of the season. And its not like we are keeping him here to stop him making a difference at a rival club. Yellow Rose of Texas 0 Posted February 9, 2007 If they have to pay his contract (wages) until early Summer anyway, might as well keep him as potential cover - if he ever recovers.
