2 players set to be unveiled at tonights match?

Recommended Posts

With our squad size and injury / suspension issues we could do with them for tonights game.

Isn''t it a grey day in loughborough today?

This would be very nice indeed... Do you reckon the likes of Wiz and ncfc1, two posters who have already written these signings off, will be in the crowd, booing and shouting "why didn''t you sign Rooney you bunch of crooks"?

A third site has now liked us with Tony Capaldi of Plymouth...http://www.eatsleepsport.com/news_details.aspx?story_id=505546&l_id=2&t_id=54
The Northern Ireland international is still mulling over his future with the

Pilgrims and Norwich are now said to have joined the growing list of clubs who

could make an offer before the transfer window closes.

Capaldi is due to fall out of contract in the summer and although Plymouth

are keen to get the player tied down to a new deal, he has so far refused and

looks set to move on.

Argyle boss Ian Holloway would love to keep the player but also does not want

to see him leave on a free transfer in the summer and would rather get some cash

for him now.

Sunderland, Wolves, Crystal Palace and now Norwich are all keen and Holloway

has been in touch with them all to let them now how much he wants if the player

is to be sold.

Plymouth have yet to receive a firm offer but that could all change as the

transfer deadline fast approaches.

never mind unveiling them before the game.. name them in the starting lineup!

jas :)
Too late, new players have to be signed 24 hours before the next game (or is it 12pm the day before?). I believe this is what Grant was talking about in his article this morning, but some seem to have taken it as "we''re never going to sign anyone ever again"...

This report says 2 players - one being Fotheringham and the other being a striker (Hayter maybe?) are going to be unveiled before the match against Wolves tonight.  Lets hope so!  Maybe it would inject some much needed optimism into the wingeing fans!

I was hearing alot of rumours on Sat that it was Hayter and Riordan that we are closest to signing, but I find Riordan hard to believe.  I guess Fotherington makes more sense.OTBC!Chunky

I reckon this is likely as the Pink un are leading in with threads saying what a coup this would be (Marshall)! So given that we have brought in 1 player for nothing, that must leave grant with extra money to spend in other areas? It appears that the next signing could be £50,000 (Same as above)Given the size of the squad we clearly need cover at small prices etc...However? will the remaining 2 Million we bid for Cotterill or money we gained from Green and Mackenzie be spent to improve the team? Why do I doubt it?
