...(I feel like I''ve blown my cover now... nowhere to hide...)... [:$]
I can''t listen at work but i''m sure I''ll check it out later. That is your cover well and truely blown! It got me thinking, how few bands / musicians come out of Norwich / East Anglia (apart from Cathy Dennis!)

GC is the self-styled King of Camden. But I think he''s actually from Colchester like the rest of Blur, isn''t he? Bloody mockneys...

The band I''m in is called The Tacticians  **cough cough** PLUG **cough** www.myspace.com/thetacticians but yes I did play in Norwich in various bands back in the day (2001/2002 before I realised that nobody in Norwich is really interested in "new" music, they''d rather wait for Radio 1 to tell them what to like and then go see them at the UEA), so I moved to London.

Just found out that we''re playing the Waterrats in Kings Cross on 13th Feb. Come and see us, all you Smoke-folk. Jeez, some serious plugging happening on this post, sorry webteam.

I''m listening to some of mbncfc''s stuff as I type, some of it is pretty trippy and cool... Radiohead influences in there, methinks, with a little bit of Damien Rice thrown in for good measure? In a good way, though... You planning on getting to Manchester any time soon? What about you, Mook?Graham Coxon is a God and I had the pleasure of seeing him play live in Manchester in September at the Cohesion festival, alongside I Am Kloot, Badly Drawn Boy and Elbow.  Coxon was worth the admission fee alone! Say hi to him for me, next time you see him... [;)]

We did play Manchester in .... errm, whenever that "In the City" festival was. Somehow the idiot promoter put us (a kind of Kooksy, Kinksy Indie band) in a goth-rock club that smelled of sick and we played along side a Japanese all-girl punk band. It was an experience I''m fairly keen to forget.

We''ll be back I hope, I would have thought when the album comes out we''ll have to put ourselves about a bit.

In regards to Marty''s point, what happened to C.O.R.D.? It looked like they were about to break, but I haven''t heard anything for a while. Not really my fave band but still, they are from the great City and are therefore deserving my unrelenting support!

Ha ha, I think Damon rules most of Essex, so Graham had to make do with Camden... [:D] I will shake his hand and pass on the Pink-un forum''s best wishes - will probably be more favourable than the look of awe I usually give him...

Will keep the WaterRats date in my diary Mook. There is no time for anything at the moment, but you never know [H]

Thank you EM and those who do have a listen... it is all pretty early stuff on the OTM and myspace (MBspace - see what I did there...) sites at the moment. The new album is with the master-ers and is, IMHO, better than everything before it - but the number of ears that have heard it is small so far.

However, it will be ready for (shameless plug 2) Sat 17 Feb evening when me and my band will be playing at B2 with .SUB... Live Music at its best [;)] (Marty - the gig may reignite your faith in musicians from Norwich... maybe...)

I know the guys (although I haven''t spoken to them for some time). The album didn''t take off as they thought it would, so they''re back in the studio working hard on a follow-up I believe...

Mook, you guys seem far more successful than I''ve been!! [:D] [Y] Will have a listen when I get to a PC with a soundcard...
Ah, I missed most of that week I think but there were some very good gigs about, I''ll look out for you next time... I guess the place you played was Jilly''s, next to the Music Box? I went there on a night out, having been told that there was a really good "Indie" room... I walked in amongst hundreds of Goths and found four rooms, one Emo (urgh), one Metal (yikes), one Heavy Rock (hmmm) and one "Classic", which had only a few good ones.  We lasted about half an hour before cutting our rather expensive losses.Forget Camden, mbncfc, Manchester is where it''s at.  [;)] Come play at somewhere like Night and Day or Jabez Clegg, you''d go down a storm, I guarantee!

Take my girls now and then to a game, and they are gradually getting round to supporting city.

Claim to fame.

I was the guy who faced down the "worthy in" cowboy on Anglia TV last year, and was also spokesperson for Worthy out.

Age: 30

Job: Product Manager.

Fan: Season ticket holder for now. Been going since early 80''s, first game (I think) was against Man City we drew 2-2, but I would only been about 5 or 6 so was probably not concentrating for 90 minutes.  I get the same feeling at the moment.

Based now:   St Albans

Reason: I was born in Norfolk, in a village between Attleborough & Diss.  My Father supported them, my Grandfather supported them, it''s a generation thing.

Interesting fact: I was a mascot in 1984, vs Tottenham in the FA Cup 4th Round replay.  We won 2-1. Had my photo taken with my favourite player at the time - John Deehan.

Andrew

Aged 51 but can pass for 48 on a dark night

Solicitor and business consultant (specialising in business litigation, corporate governance and strategic planning)

Moved aged 14 to Attleborough where my parents still live.  Previously a lad in south east Essex where my Dad and I were very regular attenders at Southend.  A few weeks after I arrived in Norfolk, my new friends took me to Carrow Road to see a friendly against Stoke (in those days, teams knocked out of the cup played friendlies when the later rounds took place).  I went to be friendly to my mates and to see Gordon Banks who was excellent.  Got the bug, lost enthusiasm in the later Saunders days when we had neither good football nor good results(has that happened since 1973?) and began a lifelong love affair when a huge football nut named John  Bond walked up Norwich station platform and began to create a team that played right, was fun to watch and just aimed to achieve all that was good in the the beautiful game.  That love has grown and matured with the club and has been tested at times.  It has never been replaced.  No other team will is mine.  Even if it is ugly and boring, it is still Norwich and will always mean a club that deep down believes in the right values and strives for the best in football.

Hattrcik member this season, deferred season ticket from last year because of financial and business considerarions as I have started a new business venture.

Three sons by my first marriage all of whom came to FCR but none caught the bug.  One is a committed Blackburn fan!!

No claims to fame whatsoever save that my youngest son is the drummer in an up and coming Cambridge band called the Tagnuts

Age: 21

Job: Student - Studying to be a PE Teacher at Liverpool John Moores.

Fan: Season Ticket Holder since 1990.

Reason:  Born and Bred in Norwich, Mum is a Season ticket holder of 40 years and that was it for me... Will never forget the good times and will never forget my roots.

Interesting Info:  Norwich are the only British team to have beaten Bayern Munich at the Olympic Stadium. Fact. I was there and it is one of my proudest moments as a Norwich City Fan.

Being part of the travelling fans that was at Anfield to see the Kop''s Last Stand was also pretty special, I have never experience a more touching, heart felt goodbye. Norwich fans that day showed why they are held in such high regards as having a fantastic travelling support.

And you''ll know me, cos I''ll be the guy in the Asics home shirt playing the drums!
