Huddy 0 Posted January 13, 2007 Gallagher 3 Thats me bieng generous, awful positiong, headless chicken, no distribution. Need i say more?Colin 6 Decent first half, poor 2nd. Lacks attacking threat and caught out too muchDrury 6 Average, didnt do that much wrongDoherty 4 Absolute Crap, How did he get player of the year last season. Awful distribution, gives away sill free kicks, poor marking. So annoying.Shackall 4 Similar to Doherty. I''m afrad Doherty has an geative effect on Shackall, bring back dublin too defence too get the best out of shack.Croft 6 Decent 1st half, huffed and pouffed but lacked end product in second.Huckerby 6 Always passes when he should suit and vice versa. Looked dangerous but no end product , poor crosses.Safri MOTM 7 I had critisized him a few weeks ago, but he has shown what he cna do. Committe dand passed well.Etuhu 5/6 Tidy 1st half, didnt looked bothered in the 2nd.Dublin 5/6 Didnt win as much, gave away stupid free kicks. Not his best game by along way. We need him back in defenceMcveigh 5 Awful first half, crap all round. Subbed when he was looking alot brighter.SubsBrown 6 Some Neat touchesRoninson -
wood 4 the trees 0 Posted January 13, 2007 gallagher - 2 poor positioning (yes the free kick goals were down to him) very poor distribution.drury - 2 passing terrible, vision non existant tackling poorshackle - 1 poorest performance hes ever had, this boy has gone from great potential to total liability!(what is grant doing on the training ground?)colin - 6 i thought he gave an OK performance, odd soft pass but otherwise ok. cam someone help me out with why he was substituted?safri - 6, ok, was restricted in forward play however as there were very few options open to himetuhu - 3 poor passing, poor control little effort. (get rid - dead wood!).hucks - 5 some good play but mostly came to nothing, is becoming a whinger with officials (you''re better than that hucks!)dublin - 8 due to the only player who gave 100%, organised well and tried to encourage. DUBLIN FOR MANAGER!macveigh - 1 utterly utterly useless, (dead wood get rid!) cant pass, control skills are laughable no vision (any more) thinks he''s better than he is!croft - 4 good effort tired very rapidly, is he fit? again what are they doing in training? To have Plymouth sing "can we play you every week" speaks volumes!GRANT IS NOT OUR MAN. DONT LEAVE IT TOO LATE!!!!
Pyro Pete 1,893 Posted January 13, 2007 Gallacher 2 - Incompetent, pure and and simple. Weak on crosses, as always. Beaten by the same free-kick, twice. Slow to sweep up behind the back four. Back to the reserves, fool.Colin 6 - Didn''t do too much wrong, but didn''t get involved enough. Seemed to be confused why Doherty was asking to cover him all the time. Clearly has yet to realise what a muppet Doherty it.Drury 6 - One of his better games, although that doesn''t say much, considering how poor he has been this season.Doherty 2 - PANIC! Yes, that''s all Doherty ever did when there was a threat from the opposition. Muppet.Shackall 5 - Always plays worse with Doc next to him. Got pulled out of position, and his distribution was poor.Croft 6 - Some good runs down the flank, as always. But the final ball into the box still isn''t good enough. Could have scored, but shot straight at the keeper.Huckerby 6 - Same as Croft. Safri 6 - The pick of the midfield, and scored a good goal. Needs to boss Etuhu around, so he isn''t the only one trying to get a grip in the middle.Etuhu 4 - Mr Lazy. Didn''t seem to care what the result was. Could be seen standing on Doc''s toes for most of the first half. Perhaps Grant should remind him he''s supposed to be the more attacking player of the midfield two. Surely he should have scored in the first half?Dublin 5 - Lacked decent service into the box from the flanks. And despite giving away the sloppy free-kick for the 3rd Plymouth goal, he probably should go back into defence until we replace Doc/Muppet .Mcveigh 4 - Nearly set up a goal for Etuhu, and had a decent ten minute spell in the 2nd half. Apart from that, looks like he doesn''t want to be here.SubsBrown 5 - Played much the same as Dublin. Which mean''t they were both going for the same balls to flick on. Had a couple of decent opportunities. Failed to take them.
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted January 13, 2007 Gallagher 3 you can''t get much worse a goalkeeping performanceColin 6 Did ok, best of a poor defenseDrury 6 again did alrite, not much of Plymouths threat came down the flanksDoherty 5 poor, gave away a vital free kick, poor in possesion, very poor at the corner (as usual), missed a good chance at one of our corners.Shackall 4 appalling, what has happened to him recently, utter utter rubbish today.Croft 6 Ok first half, dissapeared in the second - poor fitness as usual.Huckerby 6 should have shot a couple of times in the first half today dangerous but no team around him.Safri 6 * played ok, some good passes, a good goal, my MOTM as there were NO other candidatesEtuhu first half 7 second half 4 he played well in the first period only to disappear totally in the second????Dublin 5.5 Tried hard but was always at a disadvantage against a big strong plymouth side - must play at centre backMcveigh 5 A couple of good touches, but nothing else very poor and a shadow of the player he was. He will follow Mulryne into nothingness.SubsBrown 6 hardly touched it to start with but improvedRoninson - not on long enough to rate Grant - 4 worse than worthys side would have performed, why not use Martin?? or sub the knackered Croft?? Stevie Wonder 0 Posted January 14, 2007 Gallagher 3 - Poor in all aspects of his keeping. Poor wall building & positioning for the 2 free kicks. Woeful on corners & crosses, one corner hit the bar...Colin 6 - Best defender. Got forward OK, good cross for Etuhu in 1st half & chip thru for Croft in 2nd.Drury 5 - Poor distribution.Doherty 4 - Gives away too many free kicks.Shacks 5 - Distribution terrible.Etuhu 6 - Good in spells, where was he for most of 2nd half?Safri 7 - MoM. Good goal, bossed game for an hour.Croft 6 - Plenty of endeavour but not enough end product.Hux 6 - As per croft.Dublin 6 - The only player 2 show any leadership skills.McVeigh 4 - Come in No.18 your time is up.SubsBrown 6 - Some good touchesRobinson - not on long enough to judge
Baldyboy 0 Posted January 14, 2007 gallacher 0 if you cant organise a wall not once but twice he dont deserve a mark.colin 6 best defender today and better going forward, why was he taken off?drury 5 caught out of position too oftendoherty 4 is too much of a liability, yet another free kick conceded by him on edge of box led to a goalshackell 4 has lost confidence badly croft 5 poor crossing againetuhu 5 better than usual got stuck in moresafri 7 mom distribution was best of a bad bunchhux 5 if he had scored to make it 2-0 we wouldnt all be depressed today!! it was a terrible effortdublin 5 looked tired, think it is catching up with him nowmcveigh 1 just for turning up or did he? brown 5 did ok with no servicerobinson not on long enough to get a markgrant 6 thought his subs were strange, should have brought brown on for doc at put dd at back and martin on for mcveigh at half time[:$][:(][:@]

ZLF 274 Posted January 14, 2007 Two different games in one for me. The first 60 mins we were marginally the better of two poor teams with Hux, Etuhu, Dion and Croft all missing good chances and us ''nearly'' creating chances but for a lack of confidence before and after they scored their first goal. Once they took the lead it was game over. Overall we have actually played far far worse this season, but not much worse than those last 25 mins whem we showed what a lack of confidence has done to a gutless crew. My scores reflect the two distinct periods.Gallacher 5 4 SImply not good enough - contributed to all three of their goals.Colin 6 6 Felt he was OKDoc 6 6 Was better than shacks and there was no foul for the first free kick goal they scored. Other than that solid.Shax 5 4 Was his worst game for a long while, indecisive and poor distribution - far worse than Doc.Drury 6 6 Just OK - consistent as always.Hux 7 5 Should have at least hit the target early in the second half but is like so many of the team lacking in confidence, got in good positions and looked to play the right ball but it simply never happened to day. Involved but so so.Etuhu 5 (8) 4 For 10mins around the 30 min mark he was everywhere and dominating the game - for the other 80mins he vanished - again. Poor passing dominated his game.Safri 6 5 Good effort but poor passing, head seemed to drop like so many othersCroft 6 5 Full of energy but so little end product, at least with Hux failed crosses you could see what he was trying to do; never quite sure with Croft; loved the audacity of another back heel in the first half.Dublin 6 4 Good first half but conceeded more free kicks than Doc; should have done much better with his couple of chances and joking about three point for wigan on his corner effort when it was 1-0 shows the whole squad is in a comfort zone. Most stupid challenge of the day for the free kick for their 3rd and was very poor for the last 25 minsWLY 3 Mixed here - he probably made the only intelligent run all day - but it was his only good movement; as mucha s it pains me to say poor touch, poor movement poor attitude
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,023 Posted January 14, 2007 Gallagher 3 - He might be a good shot stopper but his positioning is suspect and does not dominate the six yard area, imho makes the defenders in front of him nervous which affects their performanceColin 6 - Much improved and begining to forge a good partnership with CroftDrury 6 - Played OK, distribution let him down sometimesDoherty 3 - It can only be the lack of resources that keeps him in the team, cannot tackle, cannot markShackell 4 - Looked poor today, how much is this down to having Gallagher behind him and Doherty along side him. Croft 6 - Worked hard, the only thing that lets him down is the final ballHucks 6 - Whilst he has his pace will always be a threat, again the main problem is his final ball, and his miss shows those of you who think he should play up front are so misguidedSafri 6 - Worked hard, good goal, passed the ball well in the first half but faded in the second half and let his frustration get the better of him. Etuhu 7 1st half and 3 second half - Showed what he really is capable of in the first half, but left whatever "it" is in the dressing room at half time, such a poor second half showing I am beginning to suspect that he has some sort of identity crisisDublin 6 - Played OK, gave his all and tried to rally the troopsMcVeigh 4 - Has so much talent yet we only get rare glimpses these daysBrown - 5 Some nice touches, heres hoping "Bomber" scores a few for usRobinson - Not on the pitch long enough for me to give an assessment
ZLF 274 Posted January 14, 2007
Hucks those of you who think he should play up front are so misguided
Maybe SOB - but dion and earnie have missed easier chances in the last few games too so does that mean we dont have a striker at the club? Every players misses chances - and hux playing up front brings the benefit of keeping his attacking threat with keeping a better shape in midfield - although the fact that he has a many tackles per game as Etuhu tells us where another problem is. Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,023 Posted January 15, 2007 Allways Travelling - He has no option, a few chickens are coming home to roost in terms of the size of the squad, and now we have Earnie out injured. It is not an ideal time to blood youngsters and again chickens coming home to roost re "you know who" not playing them last season when it was clear that we were safe from relegation and had no prospect of promotion.
