football clubs are as good as their fans deserve

Recommended Posts

(Borussia Dortmund''s ground) Signal Iduna Park is Germany''s biggest stadium and established the European record in

fan attendance in 2004/2005 with a total of almost 1.4 million fans.

Famous for the intense atmosphere it breeds, the stadium has been

nicknamed "The Opera House of German Football."Borussia Dortmund has the highest average attendance of any football club in Europe with a record average of 78,808 spectators in the season 2003/2004.

Officially the best supported club in Europe - but not that an impressive list of honours - based on your argument.

Given that a) we have pretty much the biggest average crowd in the championship and.....b) ......bigger than a number in the premc) We always seem to do well in tbhose silly "loudest ground" competitionsd) Our official site forum is one of the busiest anywhere (including the prem)I reckon we should be doing alot better than we are.Don''t confuse despondency and pesimisism with not caring.  It''s because people are so passionate that they get so wound up.

Its interesting that as soon as this quote is posted people automaticaly think that its about numbers of supporters rather than the fans get the football that they deserve refering perhaps more to the mentality of the supporters rather than the numbers of them.

As for somebody suggesting having the highest average gate - is this accurate? There are bigger stadiums in this league so I would assume that comment is based on capacity statistics rather than the actual numbers that turn up to watch.

The stadium of light for example is a lot lot bigger than Carrow road.

Colcehster have a veyr low attendance (generally, because of seats available in their ground), doesnt stop them from doing well.
