Syteanric 1 Posted December 29, 2006 so he didnt sign some Autographs at a Christmas Party for a load of ungreatful nippers! so what! I have been to some of the open days and seen these kids... and some of them really are ungreatful! they throw their autograph books at the players or slam their memrobelia on the desk to be signed.. the player signs it.. the ungreatful kid demands to have his photo taken... and doesnt even say thank you! i wouldnt turn up either!jas :)

sheded 0 Posted December 29, 2006
Sheded, maybe he had travelled back home to see is family?afterall, isnt that what you do this time of year?
While that might be the case AJ , it seems strange that he`s in Morocco with only a day to go to Saturday ! so I`ll assume he just couldn`t be arsed to turn up at the kids party until that possibility is confirmed ! Given Safri`s shirt throwing incident a while back , and now he`s giving Grant ultimatums , and spat his dummy to the floor , because HE isn`t getting all his own way , I`d say its a safe bet that he`s no longer on Grants birthday card list ! Safri can be a good player , the problem is no consistancy , the club can`t afford to have part-timers , and that goes for other players , like Etuhu et al , I just can`t` see Safri being around too much longer , once you get players dictating to managers , there`s only going to be one outcome ! ca 1 Posted December 29, 2006 If the players had a couple of days off this week I suspect he''s flown home to see his Dad whos seriously ill so I thought I''d read somewhere. Are you sure he was the only one missing as they usually only send about 6 or so players to these kiddies parties and the hospital visit they do? Isn`t it the truth of the matter that Safri is well over-rated ? and that he`s only in big sulk mode because Grant isn`t obliging him with the opportunity to finally get his finger out , now that he`s nearing the end of his contract , like some other players I could mention !!
OK sheded...Safri has played 21 matches this season so your facts are wronglost games - leeds, coventry palace plymouth burnley sunderland 6 games out of 21Drawn games - derby southend QPR Port Vale colchester wolves southend 7 gamesWon games - preston luton, barnsley, birmingham, Cardiff sunderland West Brom leicester 8 gamesand I thought his contract was up next season not this??? get your facts straight before posting such TRIPE. yes he has only played in 21 of our games - and YES he has played in EVERY LEAGUE WIN starting 6 and 20th minute sub in another. Sam Allardyvce would already know this - Peter Grant does not - and if he does he doesnt care.....
Yellow Star 0 Posted December 30, 2006 I went to Colney on Thursday and Safri was there signing autographs and having his photo taken. In my opinion, for what its worth, Safri is the only player in that team with consistency! I think it would be a real shame if he moved on.
Cluck 0 Posted December 30, 2006 I would say Safri needs to be treated due with respect...that is his persona and his belief. City knew this when they signed him...as he hasn''t suddenly taken up the belief since he came here to Norfolk.I fear the rough nature of Grant''s attitude may be well have caused the rift.... because if Grant''s gob is big when dealing with the fans and the press....I imagine it is much worse on the training ground. Carrots and stick come to mind....and Safri definately requires a carrot (in the nicest possible way.....[:)])Study Grant''s background and where he comes from...then decide if he has the man management skills to handle a devout muslim player....with a seriously ill father. I''m no squeaky....but I do know everyone is different....and so need a different approach.I expect some rough and ready Jocks in January........so it''s ear plugs and shin pads all round...........Nuff said........ sheded 0 Posted December 30, 2006 OK foggy ! safri played in 21 games this season , which , so far , agrees with my figures ! where it goes tits up is :- 1 , yours , lost 6 ......... mine 7 , Portvale won in extra time safri subbed in 35 mins , and also subbed against Plymouth , you can trick it out how you like , but he DID play P,vale 2, yours , drwn games 7 ....... mine 6 , subbed in games against Wolves and Southend / 3 , yours , 8.........mine 8 subbed at Cardiff .I make that 2 mistakes you made , against nil by me ! , not to mention not knowing that safri`s contract terminates end of this season .Also worth mentioning is safri getting subbed or " rested " ever more frequently ! I`ll take a chance here , and say ITS YOU that should get your facts right ! and the tripe is coming from YOU !
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted December 30, 2006 in my drunken state I obviously didnt read your stats right!! lol[:$]port vale won on penalties not in extra time btw!! [;)]So Safri''s contract is up this year, and we get to keep Bobinson and Hooves are going to be playing crap for us for at least another year (at least!!) and Etuhu is leeching our wages untiol 2009. lol as for getting subbed - well Grant doesnt rate him cos Grant is an idiot. lets see if we get our second win in 8 games (of which assuming he plays today Safri has only started once and played 7- minutes of another - I can''t be sure how many crappy sub appearances he has.FACT is he is our best central midfielder. (Tripe always comes from me btw - until you start blathing about Hucks!![;)]
