Bobert 0 Posted December 11, 2006 I have just read this in Donald Trump''s book "Trump 101":"Passion is absolutely necessary to achieve any kind of long-lasting success. If you don''t have passion, everything you do will ultimately fizzle out or, at best, be mediocre. You have to love what you do to fully devote yourself to it and to make it in a big-time way"We all on this board have passion for the club. I think PG and the Board have passion too. Dion seems to have it, Hucks as well - how do we give it to the rest of the players?
Chunky Canary 0 Posted December 11, 2006 Agree with you Bobert but I would suggest that a modicum of skill would also not come amiss.
Regime Change 0 Posted December 11, 2006 I agree with you Bobert but I also think it is about honesty and professionalism. I wonder howmany City players could have gone home on Saturday and looked at themselves in the mirror and said they have 100%? Not very many I suspect. [/quote]I think 99% of us would be more content if we saw some passion being shown. The secret of a journeyman player is that they generally make up for their lack of ability with a shed loads of guts....but that isn''t happening.I suspect PG is feeling desperation rather than passion right now....as he can''t seem to get the lumps to show any courage no matter what he says....and as for the Board......they are just reaping what they have sowed Im afraid. charlies dad 0 Posted December 12, 2006 I think what is missing is honesty and professionalism. As posted earlier on this thread. Huckerby has it, as does Earnshaw, Dublin has immense pride in his job, Croft/Chadwick also display these traits. Alas, elsewhere at Colney these attributes are sadly lacking.
