allways travelling 0 Posted November 28, 2006 It does seem pretty clear on these message boards robinson is one of the most disliked players performance wise.I have not read one message with anything good or positive to say about him it also seems safri should definateley be in the squad before him everybody seems to agree with this opinion. What game is pg and the coaching staff watching week in week out they must be asleep. 1st Wizard 0 Posted November 28, 2006 i admit im nto his biggest fan, a lot of people get on his back for not playing to well going forward... however i distinctly remember a few weeks ago where grant said he was a ''sitter'' in midfield and therefore breaks up the play well, this may be why grant plays himand alos iv sen him in a few games where he often starts off moves without actualy finishing them or playing the final ball

Carl Robinson.Apparently Robinson said "Jehovah", stone him!!!!I don''t see what purpose this thread serves, there are already threads discussing this. No he is not great but he has been involved with two teams that won this league so he must have something. It appears this year’s hate figure is to be Carl Robinson when he has not really done a great deal wrong, he just hasn''t done a great deal at all. I see no problem in criticising players but there comes a point where it becomes hysterical. Anyone else remember the abuse Svensson got when he first arrived? Being booed because basically he wasn’t Iwan Roberts? 18 months later he was sorely missed.
Canary02 0 Posted November 28, 2006 City fans hate to see someone hiding from the ball and being too scared to make challenges. Oh and a midfielder who can''t pass the ball over five yards.
ZLF 335 Posted November 28, 2006 Robinson is not liked as he does not display his effort, etuhu for wasting his talent but only turning up for 5 mins a game and Hughes who puts in huge amounts of effort (have often wondered if he is on speed or something [:D]) but is just not good enough. Between them they are a central midfielder, none of them good enough on their own,However for me Robbo would normally appear on the team sheet ahead of Hughes and most times ahead of Etuhu, but not normally ahead of Safri.Sadly the manager clearly thinks all three are better than Rossi Jarvis or other central midfield options otherwise they would have had a chance by now - wouldnt they? Hannibal 0 Posted November 28, 2006 I think some of the problems come from Robinson and Safri being very similar players. I personally like robinson as i feel the job he does for the team goes un-noticed, i think his strongest position is as a holding midfielder and when playing for wales he does this very well, Some times his distribution lets him down but i think its because he trys to hard as he feels he still hasn''t performed to his best on a consistant basis for Norwich same could be said for most of the Midfield.Technically speaking we have a much stronger team now than when we won the League the main differance now is we are not all pulling in the same direction and confidance seems to be lacking. I am sertanly fed up of all the Grant out and Delia Out posters on this board, its nothing more than an annoying subject now. A good run now and we can still be challenging come May.Live the Dream
komakino 282 Posted November 28, 2006 You will be pushed to find many people who rate Robinson, but what do you expect for only £50K - we are talking non-league money here. When you compare him to Hooves [500K+]and Safri [ almost £1M in total], he is certainly no worse than those two on this seasons form and cost us much less cash.I never expected Robinson to be more than a squad player when he came here, but it shows how bad our midfield is when he''s getting a game almost every week. It is easy to critisize him, but there are players with more natural talent who have done nothing, unlike Robinson who is a cheap ''bits and pieces'' midfielder. For what we paid, we shouldn''t expect too much.

nutty nigel 7,902 Posted November 28, 2006 Not many people on here do see why he should start in front of Safri, not many people on here see why Thorne should have been on the bench in front of Jarvis. Many people on here used to be able to react to these strange decisions by shouting worthyout. Now he is gone what are we to do?
