Plastic Scouser 0 Posted November 28, 2006 For God''s sake will you lot shut up, stop moaning and support the manager. We''ve just managed to get rid of Worthington after a long spell of dire football & results.Grant has inherited that team, and - like it or not - he''s got to make do with those players for the present. Whether Delia & co stump up some cash for changes in the New Year is neither here nor there at the moment. We need to get behind Grant, get behind the team and make life as difficult as possible for the opposition when they come to Carrow Road. Get real and realise that we''re no way close to being a team worthy of competing for a promotion slot and we''ll do well to make the play-offs this season. Grant must be given time to build the team and get the players playing his way. From all the indignant clap trap that''s been spouted on this board and others you''d think that he''d slapped our mothers around the head and given our Dads a quick rabbit punch to the kidneys whilst doing it.Stop whining - since when did City fans become so boringly predictable, perhaps we''ve become too set in our ways with Worthington but he''s not here now, so stop it.Rant over. ZLF 274 Posted November 28, 2006 Well said PS - now calm down calm down [;)]We are still better off now than when PG joined - OK it may not be a play off place but at least relegation is less of a possibility, and that is a step in the right direction. Any new manager needs time to have an impact - the earliest we can judge is late Jan when he finally has a real change impose his people on the club. In the meantime it was always going to be 2 steps forward and one back. #A win is what we need tonight, irrespective of performance on (or indeed off [:D]) the pitch so that we can get to jan not too far off the play offs - from there anything can happen in a very weak league with no outstanding team.Despite Sat I still feel we can win tonight (although feel Fryatt may score) with a 2-1 win (yes - 2 NCFC goals in one game! alhough part of me thinks PG rations them to one a week for naughty fans...)Altogether nowKICK IT OFF

[:D] Yes he did inherit the team but that doesn''t mean he has to pick the same crap players that Worthy did, unless he is being guided by Worthy''s backroom staff. I want to see Safri in the team as he is our best midfielder by a mile. I want to see Ryan Jarvis, Rossi Jarvis and Spillane given a chance. I want to see Dublin alongside Shackell and not Doherty. The only younster he has brought in is Eagle who shows promise, but is too lightweight at present. Grant is still playing the likes of Hughes, Robinson and Etuhu, and as far as I am concerned it is a case of different manager, same style of football. Rant over.
